Has anyone stopped EC after one treatment and moved straight to paclitaxol?
Hi @sn25
Sorry no advice from me, but hoping someone gets back to you soon with their experience, I’m assuming it’s a bit quiet because of the bank holiday today!
Hi
I was never on EC. I started on Paclitaxel after the Palbociclib/Letrozole stopped working. I’ve had 6 of 18 so far.

I was never given EC as my oncologist said he didn’t want too as I have a heart condition. I had a docetaxel and carboplatin for tnbc in 2022. X
EC is very hard, brutal in fact! Lots seem to not complete the 3 cycles, due to side effects.
Hey! I had 2 EC then changed to docetaxel/carbo/phesgo because my tumour wasn’t responding. I had a reaction to docetaxel so was switched again to abraxane/carbo/phesgo. Tumour shrinking now and find it a lot easier to tolerate than EC. I do have pretty bad diarrhoea (TMI sorry) but managing well with loperamide. Also had bad nausea after my first docetaxel/carbo when I had the reaction. They give me akenzyo and dex (steroids) before chemo now and I take cyclizine and ondansetron for 5 days post chemo and I’m having no nausea😊
