Slightly worried

Hi Everyone,
I’m new here and I hope everyone is feeling well.
I found a lump in my right breast near the nipple a few months back now. I left going to the GP because of my cycle as some times I could not feel it.
I eventually went and my GP said they could feel it. They referred me to the breast clinic and was seen within 2 weeks. 9th June I was seen.
I had an examination by the Dr there, who could not feel it. But because of family history I had a mammogram that day which was a Saturday but had to go back on the Monday for an ultrasound.
When they did the ultrasound I was told its normal breast tissue and that my mammograms were clear.
I’m 51 and on HRT. The Dr at the hospital was surprised I had not been called yet as part of the national screening programme.
Anyhoo I came out of there feeling relieved.
Yesterday I received a letter from the same Dr at the breast clinic, with no explanation just an appointment time and day for this coming Wednesday.
Now I am worrying, has anybody ever had this.
Why would they not state why I was being recalled, instead of just an appointment.
Sorry for rambling on, I do tend to do that, so apologies.

Many thanks
Sue

Why don’t you ring up the Breast clinic and ask why you have been sent an appointment - could be a mistake - don’t see why after mammogram and ultrasound they should want to call you back ? You should follow it up - at least you will have a better idea what is going on .Good luck.Jill .

Hi, thank you for the reply. I eventually got through this afternoon and she had no information from my previous tests. So i had to hold for a minute then she comes back on and says they have duplicated me, so everything was under my hospital number but when the Dr referred me they gave me a new hospital number. So it’s a mess up and they cancelled the appointment. To say I was and am relieved is an understatement.
Many thanks
Sue

Thank you and yes not very good at all.
