Small lump after radiotherapy

Hi all

I finished radiotherapy 7 weeks ago. I had five whole breast fractions & five boosters. I am also on tamoxifen. A couple of weeks ago I found a small lump in the affected breast but in a different place to original tumour. It’s tiny, quite hard to find which makes me think sometimes am I imagining it. I convinced myself it can’t possibly be anything untoward as I have just had rads!

After a week of indecision I decided to run it past my BCN. Was due to have hospital appointment tomorrow to get it checked but this has been rescheduled for two weeks time as someone I have been in contact with has tested positive for Covid. (I have had my booster & my LFTs are negative but been rescheduled anyway).

So now my questions are: 1) what is the likelihood of having a lump that is of concern so soon after rads finishing?

  1. what could this lump be? Is there an innocent explanation?

  2. what if I keep getting appointments rescheduled as the possibility of being in contact with a Covid positive person is so high atm?

Any thoughts welcome! I feel I am losing my grip on reality!
