Hi, I am 43 years of age and had a total hysterectomy in 2010 due to a carcinoma in my right overy.
When I went to bed on Saturday night I was very uncomfortable on my right side, under my arm. When i poked and prodded I can feel a lump which feel about 2 cm’s long. I have worried myself sick all weekend and am now waiting for my drs appointment it 4.10. The ache (its not really a pain) is under my arm, into my breast and up into my neck.
I have had a very cavalier attitude to my ovarian cancer and have not been having follow up appointments as stupidly I thought that once the surgeon had taken everything I would no longer be at any risk, particularly as the “staging” found no signs of cancer in my lymph nodes etc. Any one have any advice?

Sorry you find yourself here ![]()
You know better than most of us what a scary place the ‘waiting room’ is. Remember that lymph glands can swell up in all sorts of places if we have had a recent infection of any sort.
Please come back and update us.

Saw my dr and he has confirmed that there is a lump under my arm and he has also found some small lumps in my breast. He did say however that it is a good sign that I am getting some pain when he examined me. I had a range of blood tests done but not for tumour markers, which I took as a good sign too. Ultrasound is booked for Wednesday morning. Thank you for your kind words. Will keep u posted x
Please do.
Good luck with your ultrasound xx
