Son with Breast cancer

Irene I just wanted to say hi and find out how Nicky is??
I was dx on 25th April aged 25yrs!! I too am very positive as i have 2 beautiful children to live for. My youngest was 11 months when i was diagnosed and i was still breastfeeding… I can only be forever greatful for having children at such a young age, and i truly hope Nicky regains his fertility (the chances i’m told are very high at our age)…And you can become a wonderful grandmother as you sound like a great mother!! Lots of love to you all.x.x.x.x.x.

Hi Lolly
Thank you for your lovely message, nicky is doing well now, except he is not happy on tomoxifen as he is putting on loads of weight!!!
I am so glad that you are trying to be positive I am sure that it makes all the difference, and especially having two beautiful children to fight for.
It doe’snt look like nicky will regain hes fertility, they have checked a few times but there is nothing, we believe that it was destroyed before the treatment started, but we still have him and thats all that matters, if there is a god then one day he and cheryl will be blessed with a child, they will be fantastic parents.

I hope you are doing ok, what stage of treatment are you at!! I hope you have lots of support and help with the children.
I remember that Nicky was always putting on a brave face to stop others feeling scared, but you have to put yourself first, accept all the help and support that is offered.

Take care
Love and Hugs

Thanks Irene…I’m on no.2 chemotherapy, well tomorrow anyway! 6 more to go and then radiotherapy…had mastectomy too.
Am going to be taking tamoxifen too so will put on weight no doubt too!! Glad Nicky is recovering though, and i have my fingers crossed for that miracle baby too.xxxxxx.

Hi Irene

I just want to let you know that my brother had testicular cancer at 24 and very aggressive chemo - was told he wouldn’t be able to have children as his count even before treatment was low. Both my brother and his wife are now expecting their first child - my brother is now 35.

So there is definitely hope

HI Ronnie

Hi lolly

Hope you are doing ok, you sound such a fighter, i hope your family and friends are looking after you, let them all run around after you for a change, you deserve it.

Hi Irene

Hope you don’t mind me joining in, but just wanted to wish Nicky all the best for his recovery. I have two sons 15 and 19, and can’t image anything worse than having to watch them go through this in a few years time. Doesn’t bear thinking about. I had bilateral mastectomies three years ago with immediate reconstruction, but at least I’m 51 and had a bit of life before this hit me, but had this happened at 25 I would have been devastated, so to Nicky and also to Lolly lots of love and best wishes for your recovery.

Thankyou…x…
