sore armpit, finished chemo, no rads yet

Hello - hoping I can get some advice

I had my last chemo 3 weeks ago… yippee! but I have a sore/uncomfortable armpit on my lumpectomy side. It feels a little like I’ve got a tennis ball in my armpit. I had a SNB with just 3 nodes removed and they showed no spread but I had evidence of lymphovascular invasion.

I’ve tried to feel for swollen lymph glands in my armpit but to be honest I don’t know what they would feel like. My armpit tender to the touch too.

I also have some mild pain inbetween my SNB scar and the lumpectomy scar but have been reassured that this is just the nerves knitting back together.

I am due to start 3 weeks of radiotherapy in the next few weeks so not from that.

Any ideas what this discomfort could be? If you need anymore info don’t hesitate to ask!

Thank you in advance
Sue
