Sore Armpit?

I have been dx with lung secondaries and have just started my third cycle of Capicetabine.

My symptoms, which triggered investigation, were a couple of enlarged lymph nodes.

Immediately after starting Capicetabine the lumps seem to reduce but this week I am experiencing real soreness under my arm and when I really prod can still feel lumps.

Just wondering if anyone else has had this I know they are treating it but just wonder whats going on?

Thanks,
Janx

I have a lump under left arm. I have meningeal/liver/lung/bone mets. The onc says just to leave it unless it starts to bother me or looks like it will go through skin. So we are just keeping an eye on it for now.

Hi Jan,

Do the side effects of the chemo mention tumour flare??
Sometimes things inflame and appear to be worse when they are healing.

Just a thought!! Perhaps is you are still worried contact your bc nurse or onc.

Julie

Hi Julie and Lottie,

Thanks for the info, I feel it is a bit inflammed Julie,

I have a friend who is a retired b.c. nurse and she examined me in the shower cubicle at the golf club today, how hilarios was that!!
Anyway she said the lump I was worried about was a gland ( possibly I feel inflammed) and the other lump was nothing they didnt know about so I have to stop worrying and to stop prodding!! I just dont know what I would do without this lady she keeps my feet firmly on the ground!
Many thanks,
Take care,
Jan x
