I had my Portacath fitted 9 days ago and whilst there’s no infection and am feeling well in myself, the scar still really hurts.
Is this normal or should I speak with my GP? Is there anything I could use to ease the soreness?

Thanks, for posting.
It’s not unusual for the area where you had an implantable port like such as a portocath fitted to feel sore or bruised.
This may be for just a few days or last a little longer as in your case. Some pain relief such as paracetamol may help, but if you are concerned do contact your treatment team.
We imagine you are starting chemotherapy. If so you might also find it helpful to post on this section of our forum. And our chemo monthly threads may be of interest.
