I’m 4 FEC into my 6 treatments and this time my face has broken out in lots of really sore spots… normally my skin is really good. I don’t know whether this is another SE of the FEC or of the Neulasta injection that I had this time.
Anyone got any ideas or magic cures for them??
hi ive jst finished my last chemo - i was on E-CMF but also experienced a spotty outbreak having previously never got more than the odd one due to my period.
i swear by tea-tree oil, it dries them up and is an antiseptic too so should help prevent infection whilst on chemo. You may want to check with your onc first tho - they may even be able to prescribe you something.

I had a really bad outbreak of spots on TAX and that was due to the steroids, which ONC reduced and didn’t get them again. Are you on any steroids with the FEC??? Maybe those. Like Pix, I used tea tree oil, didn’t pick or poke them and they dried up.
Hi, I got really bad spots all over my nose and cheeks after 1st FEC. I bought Boots Skin Clear - Quick Clearing Spot Gel,and it worked very well. Every time it looks like they are coming back I just put this on and I havnet had another outbreak since. Also think its really imporant to resist the temptation to squeese them or fidddle out at all, just keep your face clean and put the gel on.
Hope this helps

I get spots/acne too on the 3rd week usually, today was the day thye faded, just befor I have my 2nd lot of tax tomorrow, with each cycle they are getting worse.
My face is peeling today, ask your gp for some topical cream for acne, I think the spots are caused by the sterioids they give us. Have faith they will fade, and chalk it up to yet another indignity related to breast cancer and the chemo!!! OH joy.
