Hi, I’m day seven after FEC chemo. My head has started itching and it feels spotty! Is this normal?
Hi Susy,
my instant answer is ‘yes’.
Do you mean your scalp? If so it could be your hair follicles beginning to react (mine started that soon after FEC No 1). I also had proper teenage zits (face and scalp) all through my chemo - nice!
Hope otherwise you feel OK and that your se’s are tiny.
Hi Susy,
I am now about to start my 6th cycle of FEC. During the first I had what can only be described as mild acne on my face. Since then I have had occasional spots on my shoulders. I took it for granted that it was either a side effect of chemo or steroids.

Sorry, yes I meant my scalp is spotty. And I do feel like iv got the teenager thing again as I do have spots on face and chest also. My Side effects were really bad in first and second day. I started with weakness and servers vomiting after only four hours after first does. I took all the extra sickness meds but still needed on all doctor to visit to give me injection. I have complained to the hospital as I did feel totally unsupported during this time. I was just so so poorly. All they seemed to do was say phone gp or go to a and e. after day three I felt fine. Constipation was a problem and really bad bloating and wind. Now I just ache. Except for those first few days it has not been as bad as I expected and hope they will do something to stop that happening again. Hope every one else is doing ok
hi Susy,
I remember this well …thought I had caught nits from the kids lol …went at em with liclear but alas think it is a side effect
