SB, I like the fact that you can recognise him from just his lower legs!
Tell me, if I watch the recording again, how can I tell his lower limbs from all the others?!!

Hot Off The Press:
White wine and Prosseco cures all Ses.
The End
I’ll look out for any mention of Cinderella in the remaining ones. They’ve clearly been focussing on the dramatic bits, the youngsters looking for their break, as you say, and some older ones with career crises. It’s what they think makes a dramatic story, I guess.
Sarah, ever thought of choreography? Can’t you just see some of this as a ballet? Hm, which composer? One of the 20C Russians? Or someone ultra modern?
Cheryl
Bit confuddled - people are talking about pies and allergys related to singing. I can do that! I can eat pie whilst having doxcetaxal which will do both - can i be in the choir? Not sure Lyndsay Lobular suits though, think i need a more angelic personna.
I can happily say that i can’t feel my feet so i have no idea whether SEs have gone all not. At this rate it will be liver failure that carries me off not BC - such fun!
as you were x
MG - have to agree over the OH - Am so glad haven’t got my ex whinging about not having “access all areas!” - And being able to focus on myself & two kids without him behaving like tantruming toddler.
Have to agree with Scaco on white wine cure for SE’s, it really does work, can we get it on prescription! (S*d the blood test tomorrow)
Have demolished a lovely roast dinner & I’m now propping up the bar @ the JM, see you soon!

Twisted Nipple – great band! Given my touch-typing abilities I’m happy to put myself forward as the keyboard player, Mamma Ree. In my youth – how many lifetimes ago was that? – I did play the piano and got reasonably good, but I’m not sure Für Elise and Moonlight Sonata is quite the thing for Twisted Nipple to play on Open Mic night at the Jingling Merkin. Not quite the accomplished vocalist of Alto et al standards but I have been known to hit a note. (Yeah, I know, not necessarily the one I was aiming for.) B flat 2 octaves above Middle C in my youth, but I could probably hit and hold a top E at a push, so happy to do the high harmonies.
MG, you’re just showing off with the Willow Smith moves (“I whip my hair back and forth", I HATE that song!), you can go off people you know! As for feeding the wildlife, you should be ashamed of yourself. Please don’t encourage any other eyebrows to vacate their current faces or we’ll all be raiding the Rimmel factory and causing a world eyebrow pencil shortage.
What a surprise (NOT!) that Alto happens to have the kit in the back of her garage or under the bed in the spare room. I bet you’ve got a full sound system behind the wardrobe, so looks like we’ll need a few groupies to lug all the gear around. And SarahBeara as the band’s choreographer, sounds like the ideal job for you SB.
If you don’t need me on keyboard, I’d be pretty good as a wind instrument. Just don’t stand downwind of me unless you’re also equipped with a gas mask. FEC1 is STILL doing its stuff with my insides, even on day 11, and I’m already able to make a passable rendition of chopsticks with my rear end. Does this ever stop or am I seriously going to find myself banished to the dog’s kennel in the garden for the duration?
Twisted Nipple – the dark, dark woods’ answer to Sex and Drugs and Rock and Roll. Well, to the drugs and rock and roll anyhow (sigh…)
Sorry MG/ SB - both feet in mouth at same time! Chemo brain!
CM - don’t worry, I can join you as the tuba in the wind dept! Maybe that’s a whole new venture “The B A orchestral manoeuvres in the Dark” - we’ve got MG for the conductor whipping her hair back & forth already…
PS where were all the hotflush gremlin hiding whilst I waas freezing my a off outside ALL day - I know being bl**dy cowards behind my sofa waiting to pounce once I got home cream crackered!
I am so on for coming to watch this band… and note, I say ‘watch’ because me and musical abilities have never made the slightest acquaintance of each other. Except for the four years I spent ‘learning’ the piano with this scary old woman who just shouted a lot. Never even took Grade 1… think it was more an excuse to get rid of me out of the house one afternoon a week, now why would my parents have wanted to do that???
However, have spent plenty of time in mosh pits in gloriously mis-spent youth, and can pogo with the best of them (though with spacial awareness of hippo, as I may have mentioned before, so don’t pogo too close to me or you may be flung violently through the air by mistake). Will don 18 hole oxblood doc martens and take side of skinhead for first time in my life as used to be fully mohicaned punk back in the day… sigh. Still, sure I can find redbraces and whitet-shirt and give the band a severely bad reputation for the drunken, uncordinated actions of its fans. SCACO can join me, if she can’t find her feet, she’s my kind of mosh pit partner…
xx
OooooH! I’d rather be in the mosh pit! Heavy metal girl(wishful thinking?!) here - Got the T-shirt and used to windmill too! Not so much mis-spent youth as life! Last gig was Dec last year and next is May!!
Yep, also have spatial awareness of a hippo so we can crash around together Sophie
xxHxx
CM, do you thingk you can play the piano and do your wind section impression at the same time? I’m sure you can if you try - multitasking and all that!
I must apologise for the excess of band gear - my OH and family had a ceilidh band when I met him (morris dancing) and we’ve carried it on with changes in personnel ever since. He also helps local am dram groups with music and techy things, hence the truly appalling accumulation of 20 years worth of stuff. His dad actually opened a music shop because there were so many instruments in the house it seemed the logical business to go in to!
Right, time for a swift pint or three down the JM - got to get the old artistic juices flowing for band practice tonight.
Looks like we’ve got
scaco on drums
Me & Cheryl on backing vocals with CM for the high twiddly bits
Mazbaz on sax
MG on bass & pastie twirling
SB as choreographer
Margaret on bagpipes
Troy on any slightly off the wall instrument that takes her fancy
Peachez as roadie/stagehand and on beer duty
CM on keyboard and wind
Trip as resident mosher and pogo teacher (need to coordinate this with SB)
Who’s on lead vocals then? Talent would be a definite drawback. Can caterpillars sing? Apart from that we’re ready to rock and roll!
Do you think the world is ready for this?

Hi Everyone
A big welcome to all the newbies, at this rate we are going to have to build some treehouses to sleep in, I bagsy the one nearest the JM, easy to stagger home too although may have a problem climbing…
10 days post fec 4, scaco just feeling a bit better now so hopefully you should be feeling better soon. The Twisted Nipple? Sorry have no musical talent at all so guess I’ii have to be a roadie, thats if I can stay awake long enough…
Alison x
Oh goodness I’ve been feeling achey and miserable for a while, but the vision of the Twisted Nipple has cheered me right up. A quick one, then, and I’m off to bed with hopes of actually sleeping.
Cheryl
Right! I’ve been puckering- noooo! I said puckering up all night, seen to my drones seasoned the bag with whiskey so my pipes have never sounded so good - or loud !!!
Some of the whiskey managed to season my tubes as well- it’s a long story! So Iwe’re good to go!
Margaret
In her absence I propose Beverley Hills as lead singer…lmao… that’ll teach her to go away for the weekend…
I second that!
Jane xxx
Trip, that’s inspired and not only seconded but thirded and voted into motion.
Alto, I’m disappointed at you, you haven’t used our stage names!
I make that:
Lyndsay Lobular (scaco) on drums
Dexie Methasone (Alto) & Ali Pecia (Cheryl) on backing vocals with Mamma Ree (CM) for the high twiddly bits
Debbie Dumbell (Wandy) on lead guitar
Cari Cenoma (Mazbaz) on sax
Totty Tubular (MG) on bass & pastie twirling (or catering, perhaps?)
Tram Flap Tina (SB) as choreographer, or keyboard despite complete lack of ability as ability is not a requirement for band membership
Margaret on bagpipes and Jane Birkin-esque heavy breathing
Lena Grastim (Troy) on any slightly off the wall instrument that takes her fancy, and accompanying CM in the wind section
Mamma Ree (CM) on keyboard and wind as well as high twiddly bits, because she’s all woman and very capable of multitasking
Beverley Hills (90210) as lead singer, as “reward” for going away for the weekend
Trip as resident mosher and pogo teacher (need to coordinate this with SB)
Peachez as roadie/stagehand and on beer duty accompanied by alimbutt as second-under-chief roadie
TSR as Manager and out-of-time background swayer, just to give Tram Flap Tina (SB) a choreographical challenge
Dexie Methasone (Alto) also provider of instruments, not bothered whether of music or of torture, but the way some of us play there wouldn’t be much difference between the two
Catering by Totty (MG) seeing as she’s in charge of pasties
First rehersal tomorrow evening in the soundproof yurt.
Morning fellow warriors,
I am back from my lovely weekend away & delighted to see that i am now part of a band & honoured to find in my absence i have been made “lead singer”
Am away this weekend too with Trip & others in Cornwall so dare i even think about what will happen whilst we are away on that one ? ?

Welcome to all newcomers, brilliant to see the woods filling up with like minded wecansodothis people & hi to TSR & Alimbutt am pleased that you found the path back in & hope all is well with you both, i do worry if any of my “chicks” go AWOL as i like to keep all my little ducks in a row
Am defo up for band practise in the soundproof yurt followed by a few in the JM if anyones up for joining me although after my rather boozy weekend i should perhaps give my liver a rest
Love to everyone & i hope all are awaking to sunshine
Sarah. AKA, Beverley Hills 021210 xxxx
Morning 021210
Looks like we are doing the same thing today
I’ve got next FEC on Thursday if wbcfairy has “behaved” it’s self following several stabbings…
I’ll see you down the JM later, after work, as I won’t be feeling like any for quite a while after Thursday

Morning Campers
Wohoo! The fog of FEC4 seems to have fecced off. I think i can see it lurking around near the JM so be careful not to stray into it. Blimey 8 days later, that was a long slog, bit now its gone so i need to DO stuff.
Think i need to sort costumes for Twisted Nipple. Merkins, obviously, as long as they haven’t all been eaten…
It’s a beautiful day so far here in the middle so hopefully i will get out in the sunshine. Good luck to Troy and Sarah with pre today and i’m hoping Cheryl has had a decent kip.
