Shar, there is always plenty of tent space here. I was thinking of lying out in the open air tonight and watching the stars through the trees so you’re welcome to mine x
Silvershar, there’s lots of room here on the cushions. I’ll just move over a bit. Now do you want a drink proper or are we both sticking with ginger ale and fizzy water for a few days?
Hang on Alto, just not with your fingernails. Given that I love baking and can’t find the energy for it most of the time, I think you are inspirational! (Ducks–no, I duck, not Wandy’s ducklings.) Are you sure about what you used for cream? Have a good rest tomorrow.
MG, I didn’t keep my aquaeous in the fridge, but then it was October into November, and I didn’t want to put anything cold on my sensitive bits. In fact, I think it goes on more lightly if it’s not too cold, but maybe cool is good in warm weather. Anything that protects your skin and keeps moisture in is good now, during and after rads. OK, own up, who has lost their sense of taste AND their ability to read labels, or did someone just get too much sun today?
I’ve just about held out long enough to take my ondansetron, which I can’t spell without looking at the packet. Keep putting them on my tab.
Cheryl
Project Woman and MG thank u, feel a bit lonely and sorry for myself tonight, cracked my ankle few hrs back so def on wine, full wine no fizzy water tonight, need the hard stuff!!! oh and im on last day of antibiotics but needs must!!!

Shar xs
Oww Shar,
You can join me in the crocked corner. I was painting, moved grandfather clock and caught the top of it just before it fell on floor and smashed. Have enormous bruise on back now, heaven knows how it hit me from behind!
Time for another round I reckon? xx
Yesh pleaze MG!!
Been out of the woods for visit to my local hostelery and just staggered back - fortunately it’s a fairly straight road from pub front door to mine and demolished a bottle of white whilst I was there! Think I need to find my pit now, if anyone wants the sleeptight fairy that visited me last night I’ll send her over.
TN practise was awesome and CM are you sure there was any h2o with the pink?
Like PW you’re more than welcome to share Shar but similarly mouth & brain failure to function this end!
Night all
XX H XX
PS Cheryl - well done you! xx
Night Troy x
Can I have the sleep fairy Troy, mine has escaped again and here I am posting again. I’ve had a few hours sleep, and you ve all written 3 pages of posts.
BD
My sleep fairy seems to have done a runner too, the only good thing is that she has taken the nightmare gremlin with her. Anyone got a spare sleep fairy they can send over to my tent please?
No sleep fairy again. Given up and come downstairs. Not managed even an hour I don’t think, despite taking nightol. How can we function with no sleep!!!
Despite feeling groggy earlier on, I just couldn’t sleep for a long time either, but finally dropped off for the last few hours of the night. Sometimes the effort of getting ready for bed seems to wake me up again.
Hey ho.
Cheryl
Well I dropped off finally about 4.30 only to be woken up by next doors alarm clock at 6.30 yet again which is still going off now. Whoever it was who said that they had gone away for the weekend earlier in this thread was right! So I guess I have got that to look forward to tomorrow and Monday again - fantastic!
Morning fair warriors… Blimey you’ve been busy, sorry I’ve missed a few band practices, I’ve been busy working out the final moves to Queens, ( get it? Queen, royal wedding). ‘don’t stop me now’…
And in between choreographic inspirational moments, I’ve been out and about zooming around in my new car… Loving it!!! Thing is I’ve decided I’m having some sort of mid life crisis, (don’t forget looming 40th b’day eek)…survived fec 5, not too bad so far 4 days in still a bit icky and head achey, bloody arm is a total mess, pain now going all the way up my bicep, fec 6 seems impossible in that arm now…anyhoo… I have decided to forget about BC completely it seems by distracting myself with new toys, fast cars… And… A PUPPY! am I mad or what… Now have a 9 week old Airedale terrier called Archie!!! Sooooooo cute, and sooooooo full of energy, I am firmly ensconced, don’t you just love that word, in toilet training. Ah the joys, it’s
Ike having a baby again.
Hope all well, fantastic Cheryl, no more FEC, good on you girl! Xxx hope your se’s are small and discreet.
CM… What can I say, I bow down before you in humble admiration… An 8 mile walk after chemo!!! You truly are an inspiration… Hope your feet have recovered…
Love to all of you, have a lovely Easter.xxxxxxx
P.s the SB effect is in full swing here…ggrrrrrr wheres that bloody movicol
Hi MG,
Bit red from the rads. I checked my list, and I AM down for 20! Thought it was 18 for some reason, must have confused them with herceptin. I am using diprobase, as I have always found that better when I have had had to treat childhood eczemas etc, with my 3. E 45 seems to irritate my skin for some reason. So, bearable , so far is my half way update!!
SB - you’re not just mad, you’re stark raving bonkers! I think that’s called grabbing life by the horns…
By the way, how’s the MIL getting on?
Jane xxx
Morning campers. SB, the 8-9 miles was just TO the pub, we had to walk back again! A bit slower, and interrupted by a pitstop at the pub we walked past on the way there, and a 15 min sit-down by a sandy bit so the dog could play in the river. She’s a paddler rather than a swimmer (though she did get chucked in by OH on the way after rolling in cow poo) so she had fun splashing around in a shallow bit for a while and it gave us a chance to cool our tootsies. Surprisingly, no aches this morning.
Good rehearsals, but I think we do need to get Twisted Nipple’s playlist sorted out for this wedding.
Clearly Queen has to feature, but any specific tracks? Another One Bites the Dust, perhaps?
Sometimes you get two different kinds of rads, about 3 weeks of tightly focussed ones and then a few sessions which are wider and shallower to hit anything pre-cancerous or undetected in the general area. (That was when I lost a patch of underarm skin.)
If the redness doesn’t fade or if if is building up, please tell them. I take it you’ve checked the diprobase? I had to start taking cooler showers than I really like (and it was autumn and turning cooler), or at least to stand with that breast out of the warm water and then wash it down with cooler. Brr! Otherwise it was like washing with water which is too warm after burning yourself, and warm water seemed hot on the rads area and turned it pink-to-red.
Hope you get to the end without any long-lasting SEs.
Cheryl
Morning all,
CM, you are so right, we must get the TN playlist sorted…How about something by Prince,(Diamonds and Pearls?)or Purple Reign??? to go along with Queen??..Another one bites the dust is a must!
SB, hope Archie is settling in and whoa, respect to you, BC-se’s, OH kids, MIL (and any other initials!)and now a PUPPY!!! Thought I was bad with ducklings and now we are hatching 12 new chickens but at leastno toilet training involved there!
MG hope you are ok after furniture fallout?! Just be careful! I know you want stuff done before you start rads but you want to be in one piece for it don’t you??!!
Cheryl how are you after your night of celebration, your table dancing was close to matching mine in pure frenzy!! Was that YOUR merkin that went flying across the room to land on NE’s head??
Anyway hope all have a lovely day, off to teach the ducks to swim!!
Wandyx
Morning all,
Cheryl, I’m down for 15 rads to right breast and 5 “boosters” to scar area. Dots in place and if they are anything to go by top of area is well away from armpit/collar bone so phew! Is aqueous cream the same as Dip (whatever) TSR is using? I have large pot of generic stuff (still think someone is using it for culinary purposes, perhaps on their morning porridge or afternoon strawberries. Bit confusing keeping it in the JM fridge perhaps)?
Wandy, I promise no more furniture moving (after todays couple of trips to the tip and putting up coving). By start of rads I want the house in a state where I can chill rather than things that are unfinished bugging me. Should be there by the end of Easter weekend. Do you have to get in the pond and show the ducks how or throw bits of bread to tempt them to go “swimmies”?
SB, well done on the car and the puppy. So cute, I love Airedales.
Hope the SEs aren’t too bad.
TSR, Sorry you have redness I’m with Cheryl, I would tell them and see if there is anything they can give you. I’ve heard about them giving out gel cooling sheets and burn treatment stuff if it gets bad.
Cheryl and all other FECcers and TAXers, hope the SEs are manageable and it is as beautiful where you are as where I am this morning.
See you all later for band practice xx
Morning guys. Another rotten sleepless night, who ever is in charge of the sleep fairies I think they need a stern talking to, cos they ate getting lazy not getting me past 2 hrs sleep, thanks.
Oh SB a puppy, you lucky brave thing, I saw some cockapoddles for sale this week, guided hubby towards ad, not impressed, gave me ’ over my dead body look’, still might try again next week.
Another gorgeous day, just right for chillin out in.
Thinking on playlist, what about Elton John I’m still standing, as we are such brave heroic women, well that what were told.
Here’s to a good day for us all
Love BD xxxx
I don’t know what TSR’s stuff is and I’d be interested to learn before I start my rads this time, in case I’m more sensitive than the last time. The tattoos are for aligning the machine, and they put the side ones lowish to centre them on your breast, I think, and possibly to make them relatively inconspicuous, but unless you had a large mass removed, the area hit can be quite small and concentrated. The point of aquaeous cream is that it’s relative inexpensive, even in the giant pots, doesn’t have metallic salts in it, and is free of most allergens–but of course there’s always someone who is allergic or sensitive to something safe for most people.
Some people need to get hydrocortisone if the reaction is worse than usual. That’s what I used on my lost skin, as I had some in the house anyhow. It’s worth asking about a prescription if you do get a strong reaction.
