Scaco- my new hairdo looks remarkably like yours!Mine is dead straight, mind you. Lizz and I went for coffee and both had the same hairdo lol Going to Glasgow meet 1st Oct and we’ll probably look like a cult or something!
Hope everyone is coping OK with chemo and rads . I went for final appt with oncologist -surgeon and mammogram next January for review!Just to reassure everyone still having treatment that time does pass and I’ve almost forgotten the worst of it already.
Kind of miss getting my bagpipes and kilt out and scaring the gremlins from the woods but I’m glad my hair is growing and my eyelashes and eyebrows are back- although the left eyebrow has wee bits missing and some strange white and black wiry hairs have appeared on my chin!!!OMG.

Although I phoned the helpline a few times during diagnosis and treatment for some reason never logged onto the forums.I have now finished radiotherapy. I must say though that it has been good looking back on all your comments and realising the emotions that I felt during those difficult times were so normal and shared by so many.

Looks like there is just me on night patrol again.
Going off to try and trap some feral hairs and newts for tomorrow. Taking faithful dog Buggerit with me and the flame thrower in case we come across any of the negative attitude gremlins that have been getting a little too close to the campsite this week!
G’night glampers - breadmaker is set to start at 6am in the morning which means the smell of freshly baked bread should start to permeate the woods by around 7am. Hope Ninja is ready with the caffine products.
What time does the last night at the proms kick off? Hope you all realise it is also a full moon!! Can’t be held responsible for my actions when the moon is full.

Thanks SuperTrouper - I had a long cuddle with a sleep fairy last night. Wonderful! Soddit and I are heading for the fresh bread and coffee, but I’m not sure Ninja’s awake in her tent yet… (Oh, good mornign Ninj!)
Proms start at 7.30 in the Glade… quick practise of vocal chords as you wander round (should scare NE off!) and we’ll be great. ANy virtual instruments welcome… I’ll virtually conduct and generally encourage (when I’m not sipping wine)!!
Ooops sorry I seem to have hogged the sleep fairy all night and only woke up 15 mins ago. That is unheard of for me but I feel so much better for it. I will try not to hog her tonight!

Yipee, been up a while and I haven’t been waiting for Ninja to get the posh brews on, honest. Can I have a ‘campo’ pretty please - oooh and ST’s fresh bread, sounds heavenly - mmmhhhhh.
I stole the Sleep Sprite yesterday; apart from odd moments of lucidity and wakefulness (not necessarily concurrent), I slept from Thursday 23.00 until Friday 15.30.
Still tired.
Bread seems to have gone down well - must make some more for tonight unless people would prefer pizzas?
Going to get some extra long tent pegs this afternoon and get the tent firmly pegged down before what is left of the hurricane hits the woods.
PB and NE seem to be getting on well with the new bench of positivity although I did notice a small scratch under NE left eye and a bruise on PB’s left arm - I do hope they are playing nicely.

If only i,d known you were all tramping thro the woods beside me in the dark I thought you were all Goblins/Gremlins so I clenched my teeth shut my eyes and muddled on… Only just found this site WHAT a Godsend 
i,ve spent the whole day peeking into each topic with first trepidation then a feeling of Euphoria when I realized I was,nt ever alone… How selfish to think I was!!! Only trouble is I,ve been up since 7 and its now 2.00pm and i,m still sat in my jimjams!!!

Hoping for a raucous shindig around the JM (Jinglin Merkin - local watering hole) for last night of the proms. Flags are ready and I’ll be blowing my own trumpet (badly) and wailing (again very badly), and waving arms to keep my physio happy - not sure if YMCA will be on the ‘set list’ tonight???
Got my tattoo’s yesterday, and I also managed to ‘brand’ my arm on oven shelf juggling a pizza with my TAX fingers - traumatic day. I’m still waiting for fresh tent to arrive, bit of steroid swamp left to navigate yet then I can meander over to Rads Rushes at end of Sept.
I’m off for a cheeky afternoon reviver and a practice in the Glade. x

Pizza sounds great to help the singing along - along with plenty of vino of course! On the song list are the old “Prom favourites” - ‘I vow to thee my country’… ‘Rule Britannia’ and ‘Land of Hope and Glory’… You clap along to the “hornpipe” and try to beat the orchestra when they do it again as fast as their little fingers will let them (somehow, they always win!) Anyway, you’re all very welcome. Sounds of you warming up were encouraging…Words will be on a big screen, so no excuses! I’m heading for the JM for a pre-show drinky… Katy & Doz - do come along and join the party… Jane
This year we also get to sing things like Climb every mountain apparently. Glasses charged? Wine improves the singing I find!
Jane, no amount of vino improves my singing unfortunately, but gonna belt it out anyway - i’ve got plenty of spare earplugs for those who need them.
We can join Proms in The Park with our Proms in The Woods! NE and PB are coming - talent spotting they say! The pizza is excellent. If you are on the Can’t be a****d bench, we’ll send NE over with A drink. - or ear plugs for those on the ‘I feel **** bench’ all together now… And did those feet…
