CromerSarah - great news that it’s going to plan. Can I ask, did you get another CT scan to check on its status part way thru’ treatment? I’ve had all scans at the start but no-one has mentioned any more. I did ask but they said probably (‘probably’!) only an ulta sound.
Mary Grace - fab, fab news - so pleased for you. Yes, would have been nice if clearmargins fairy had got her act together - but most important thing is NO NODES!! NO CHEMO!! and if Tamoxifen treats you bad…NO WORRIES!!! Not that I’m the least bit jealous, lol… I’m really thrilled for you.
Sophie xx
Cromercrab, I’m so glad it’s shrinking and improving. Nuisance about having to wait for the meds.

Hi Sarah, excellent news and so good that we are all gradually moving towards the edge of the forest. Excellent idea to meet up (given re-excision I won’t be at Arden Centre for few weeks) but work ten minutes away so happy to meet for coffee any time/any where (was that martini ad or am I showing my age). Also if I don’t need chemo I will be driving all bar a couple of days (make that 1) so if ever I can be of any help giving you a lift to/from I am very local (and I do mean that to Cheryl, the Staffs contingent and any one else regardless of where. If any of us get to the edge of the forest sooner I want to shine a big light, chop off any brambles and generally help the rest of the breast angels to find their way xx
MG - lol, the martini ref. made me smile. I always referred to morning sickness as martini sickness, anytime, anyplace, anywhere…
Thanks Sophie, today made me realise how hard it must be to be a bc surgeon. He is a lovely man and has been so helpful/ supportive but he kept shaking my hand, and repeating how good the prognosis is with a big smile. Makes you realise they do care about us all getting better and are really chuffed when there is good news xx
SCACO, I had a scan at beginning of chemo in sept(CT, Breast MRI and bones and also heart MUGI)Then CT and heart again just before I started new poison.
My onc likes to see how things are working. It gives me some piece of mind too.
just thought i would try and venture into these dark dark woods see what its all about… any guidance very welcome… Shar x
MG and Cromer, good news all round !! Hurah! Dancing round the camp fire tonight then?
Cheryl, glad the bp is under control, hope it stays that way!
Had a slow morning, but picked up speed; went to work with headcovering for first time to find loads of people from London had descended ugggh
…then round pub after so OH could get some R&R. Back for baked sweet potatoes feeling a bit flat, bit depressed about my 5 infected nodes :-/ so VERY happy for those who are clear though, best news ever!! hoping the clearmarginsfairy is going to do her firefly thing in the coming nights for you too,
…settling down for the rugby now… Sweet dreams campers.
… sorry, welcome Shar, dark sense of humour only thing needed in the dark dark woods!! Wonderful group of campers, some setting the pace out front leaving clear trails for those of us following. Calm tents, gourmet yurts and merkin knitting/line dancing classes all going on in here!! Oh and motorbike riding lessons too !! Pxxx
Peachez, did I know about your nodes? Can’t remember reading that, big hugs, course you’re gutted, but 5 is better than 15 xxxxx Just remind yourself that your clever nodes were just doing their job. It’s what I can reminding myself, too xxxx
Hello campers!
Think I might come on a little woodland camping trip as well. I have my own motorbike helmet for when I ride pillion behind DH which sounds as though it might come in useful. Better get some strength back in my arm before I do that again though… is there a magical gettheflippinarmworking fairy somewhere in here?

Officially my bp is fine, it’s just a good thing no one tested it this morning or before about 3 pm today!
I’m not much on designing, better at carrying out or adapting designs, but if I can’t sleep again tonight I’ll think of a design for our banner. A one-breasted angel slaying a dragon? With applique, stumpwork, plenty of gold cording, and some unusual spangly knitted triangles?

Counting down to chemo on Monday so a bit hyper!Had my wig trimmed by hairdresser on Thursday so tried it out at linedancing last night - hadn’t been for two months with one thing and another lol-
everybody thought I had dyed my hair and had a restyle! I can’t keep a secret though and told them it was a wig lololol!!!
Might incorporate some of the cuttings into my purple and red merkin!
Anybody interested in a linedancing tent? My fav linedance at the mo is Poker Face to Lady GAGA and Burlesque.x x x
Evening All,
Looks like you guys have had a busy day - idea for posting merkin piccy - do it as profile pic!?! (This means I’m going to have to learn to knit!!)
Mary Grace - great about clear nodes
I’ve got my wig AND driven my car further than round the block!
Hope we all have a good night,
Love

Hi everyone, do you think knitting merkins counts as exercising arms? Can we get it on the next bcc after surgery physio brochure? May hunt out knitting needles but what do I say I’m knitting if kids ask (false beard maybe?!)
Welcome to Silvershar and Jane. Jane I keep meaning to ask if you really are al Alto? I am too (clearly superior to sopranos of course!) Unless sopranos of the mafia variety of course. Don’t know where to begin describing what goes on over here but it lightens the mood.
I reckon we need one of those “this time next year” pacts among the breast angels. We will all make it through the forest, at different speeds maybe and with tears and triumphs along the way but those who get there sooner will clear paths and carry the loads of those who wander into mud or potholes. When we safely get to the other side we should meet up for a celebration! This time next year. Dress code merkins and biker jackets optional.

Hi Marygrace, yes I really am an alto - singing in the church choir at the mo but have also done choral societies and used to sing as a folk duo with my DH. Altos are, of course, the stars of any choir and are lovely modest people to boot.
If there’s line dancing in camp can I make a request for some good old English morris dancing as well? I met my DH when we were both morris dancers (much to our children’s eternal embarrassment) and I’m sure if we all jingled our bells and waved our hankies enough it would scare all those nasty little demons away.
Do you reckon I could morris dance with my biker helmet on?
Thanks for sending me the gettheflippinarmworkingfairy Sarah - I hope she plugs up her ears against the bad language I’ll mutter while she’s doing her thang.

Hi Ladies,
I enjoy reading this thread - you’re all so imaginative - it really would make a good book. So nice to find someone who likes Morris Dancing.
I belong to a Ladies Garland Dancing side (a bit like Morris and comes under the same umbrella). We’ll come and dance for you and bring all the good fairies with us.
