Standing outside the dark, dark woods.

Welcome Kay… I remember how you feel well, though I didn’t have your complications to deal with. Stay in today - is good advice… and as you recover, check out But You Dont Look Sick? support for those with invisible illness or chronic illness The Spoon Theory written by Christine Miserandino - But You Dont Look Sick? support for those with invisible illness or chronic illness lots of us found it really helpful…
Squeakymouse - good to hear from you again! Rotten luck about your tent, not sure how a mouse climbs a yew tree!!! there is room in my tent (no chandalielr, but I have got a portaloo)

Soddit is getting very excited about His Part in the production, but protesting that he already looks like a shorn lamb, and only needs glitter, not cotton wool…

Please don’t shear dear Soddit… He is so handsome with his soft hair and glistening eyes. …perhaps the play needs a doppy canine to protect the cast from stage fright and gremlins. GIJane does he really like glitter? …it is soooooo messy…but I suppose dogs do make a mess…almost as much as unhousetrained OHs.
Quail we tell Buggerit to heal…rather than heel!!! Supertrouper didn’t click either many many months ago! She thought as usual I had Poor spelling… However another dog called Heal is a superb idea. What does he look like? He must audition for tbe play.
The canals are overspilling here. I wonder what the flow is like in the Woods. Tnere is too strong a stream to divert the water in order to skate. Perhaps wild water rafting is more of an option for entertainment. The whole journey we are on can feel like the control those dinghies have!!!

Hi woodies, although I loved the yew tree I think I need something more permanent. Went to Darn Great tents R Us and ordered a Supersize in turquoise. Will take a few days to get here due to fired gas central heating it comes with - am so cold these days. Am goIng for a fluffy flooring that I can bury my toes in, and an inbuilt sleep fairy trap.
so heading for the yew trees tonight, after the JM. Going to try a cocktail with a shot of Difflam, any recommendations?
large bag of Twiglets behind the bar, help yourself!

Hi Kayteeb53 Ooo Twiglets - are they the nice long ones they used to make or the short stubby ones they palm off on us these days? I’m sure they dont have as much marmite on as they used to either. Still yummy tho
How was the cocktail? Wouldn’t you prefer a nice Baileys Latte (with extra Bailey’s)
Make mine double please

Morning all you woodies:)
Welcome Kayteeb53. Just pooped in from Ta’poxifen Towers to check and see if all is well down here…you have all been very busy haven’t you.Well Im glad to say that my swollen boob is slowly calming down after a lot of TLC and have had to buy a bigger cup size to accomodate the ampleness while the other one sits saggy and a bit lost…But hey ho after effects of rads dont you love em!!! Im going to be making some hot mince pies with icing sugar sprinkles if anyone would like some they will be on the piano in the JM after 3pm…TWIGLETS!!! yummy

Taking my glow in the dark skin, ouchy armpit and manky big toe nail off to final rads today!!

Good luck Ali, hope today goes well.
Nannabarb, Baileys latte! I need to have one, perhaps share with a sleep fairy tonight ( that’ll stop her straying). Won’t be repeating the cocktail with the shot of Difflam, mouth numb!
the Twiglets have super sized knobbles of marmite on them so that we can taste them.
kate40club, looking forward to carols later.
Have a good day all

Marmite - love it or hate it… More Twiglets for you both…

It’s Saturday, so bacon butties in the JM this morning…

Dear soft Labradoodle…have you got any pics of him with his hair cut GIJane? A friend is bringing a wolf like dog for a walk tomorrow. I had better keep it away from the Lambs. Well all that talk of food and that which I have devoured has left me feeling nauseous…once I would have ignored it …now I find the nearest worry tree…silly me! Rope ladder please.

Hi Ladies, I am linking in today as I thought you might be able to rationalise what is happening to me. I have not had a period since 2009. Im now post surgery day 11 and have had what feels like period pains plus some bleeding. It has scared me witless and dont know if anyone has also experienced this.

Caroline…giving this a bump as I can see you are upset…if it is any help…as I don’t know how old you are but I hadn’t had a period for 2 yrs before dx…I am 54 next week… and post surgery had spotting and a light period…just the once and nothing since but I do still get the little pains before my cycle would’ve started…someone with more experience should be along soon…if not give your post a bump to keep it at the top or it will get lost in the post list…

Hi apple, how do I bump - Im a novice at this.

Hi applestreet, thanks for the response. Im 52, and this has just added to the anxieties its been a horrible day.

Hi Caroline, I find surgery messes my cycle about. I hadnt had periods since starting tamoxifen in 2010 But did and had period type pains too After surgery.

It is very probably a one off. If it continues or happens again, you can always get referred for an ultrasound just to reassure you that all is well, but it is quite possibly just because of the surgery xxx

Caroline I was pre-menopausal when I was dx, and I missed two periods following surgery. I wonder if the combination of the shock to the system and general anaesthetic affect out menstrual cycles? I wouldn’t let it worry you, but it’s probably worth mentioning it to your surgeon/ocologist at your next appointment. If you are really worried, in the meantime, ring your BCN (Breast Cancer Nurse) or the helpline on here, because they have experience of seeing 100s of ladies and will know if it’s a common phenomenon!

Hiya Caroline…I can see some more ladies have replied…you bump up your post just by posting…if that makes sense…you can write something or just put…bump…it keeps the thread at the top of the list and then it doesn’t get lost in the latest posts…
