Hi I am 30year old women who got told 4days after my 30th I have dutal cancer grade 3… I got 2 year old and I never been so scared in my life I can’t stop crying every day I feel sick with nerves…I start FEC first 3 sessions the 3 sessions of taxotere. Then having surgery. I so worried about how different I will look. And how long it will take for my hair eyebrows and eyelashes to grow back. Keep thinking about all the side effects, trying so hard to being positive just so hard keeping this game face on, does anyone have any little tips just to keep up beat feeling good. Welcome to the forum. So sorry you have had to join us at such a young age.
I had the same chemo eight years ago now. Have they asked if you could try the cold cap which may help you to at least keep your hair.
I did not loose my eyebrows and eyelashes with Fec it was when I started the Taxetere.
I am sure there will more ladies along shortly welcoming you to the forum.

Hi Leanne. You have started your new thread in the Secondaries part of the forum. It’s not a problem except you probably won’t get quite so many replies from ladies in a similar position as you. Your best bet is to copy your post and paste it into a new thread in the ‘Going through treatment’ section on the front page of the website. There are a couple of areas you can post in either ‘Chemotherapy’ which covers all sorts of questions etc or the ‘Monthly Chemotherapy’ threads where you can chat to ladies starting their treatment at the same time as you which can be really helpful and supportive. I joined one of those back in 2008 and we still keep in touch on here some 9 years later!
The reason you may not get so many replies in this section is that a lot of us had our primary BC some years ago and are now dealing with secondaries which, although the treatments can be similar, tends to have further complications and implications which you shouldn’t have to worry about.

have faith in the treatments,although my cancer is back initially like you I had grade 3 cancer. Its okay to be scared,but do you know what that was 12 years ago and it has only just come back. Eyebrows etc grow back pretty quick but once you have lost your hair you sort of accept it,paint your eyebrows on!.
