Well I have just got my date through.
16th sept heart echo
!7th meeting with onc
18th Chemo starts…
I was given a choise of 2 hospitals and I chose the one I feel more comfortable at,
so they have decided to send me to the other one
I am not happy about it but will put up with it in order to start the treatment asap
Sometimes I feel they just don’t listen to me at all
I sympathise. I was also directed to a hospital not of my choice. Despite 3 visits to GP pleading to be allowed to go my hospital. So much for hospital choice! I have since heard he is not set up for my hospital of choice whatever that means despite it being advertised in surgery. Like you I felt I had no choice but to start treatment and indeed emotional blackmail was brought to bear and I was told that it would delay my treatment. I stated my preference right at the very very start when a lump was found. Indeed the nurses at the hospital were very very off when again I stated I wished to go to a different hospital. Said it was nothing to do with them. But my GP I the patient and the sick one was caught in the middle. I have never got over it all and doubt I ever will. However I am being offered lst class treatment and have to go with it. Good luck with it all. If you are having FEC it is really not that bad i found. Take all the antisickness irrespective of whether or not you feel sick, drink plenty of water, and go to bed early on night of chemo day. Listen to your body.
