Starting chemo February 2012

Hello
I’m new to the forum. I was diagnosed in November, had a lumpectomy in December and all my lymph nodes out (and a portacath put in) in January.

I start chemo on 7th Feb for five months (FEC - T) followed by radiotherapy and five years of tamoxifen and wondered if anyone fancied being my chemo buddy?

I’m 36 and lucky (I think) to be having my chemo at home, but I know that means I won’t meet many fellow warriors (for want of a better term) and whilst my husband, friends and family are fab, I was hoping to chat to someone who was going through the same thing, and that we could help each other?

I have no kids, just did an ivf cycle to freeze some eggs and am incredibly glad that the injections have stopped

I feel lucky that we caught it when we did, but am worrying about chemo, mostly today about losing my eyebrows - but am taking it in turns with all the side effects so tomorrow it will be back to heart damage or lymphodema or whatever!

At the moment my coping mechanisms involve remembering that it’s all been cut out and the chemo is going to sweep everything up, reading lots of books, and over-googling everything! Oh and lots of walks with my dog

As it’s my first post, not quite sure how to end this, but would love to chat and share if anyone is up for it!
