starting chemo in January 2012

ED could at fetching but YD probably would just growl at you or hit or punch!! lol!!

Maybe we should swap some day Anne!! lol!

Marina, you can just have them, I don’t want to swap. lol.

Lol!!

Spoilt no longer! Husband all grumpy and sighing. Very irritating! Maybe it was the ironing. Went out for drinks without me 'cos I was TOO knackered and came back quite simply, unpleasant.

So filing for divorce and in the spare room!!!

Sue. so sorry it’s hit you too. Shall we scroll back and read our own pep talks? Big, soppy hug to you. Do you want to join the ‘running away’ gang. Where too? La La land perhaps?

Julianna. I farted in the market the other day. I thought that as we were outdoors no one would notice. But it came out at massive volume and one of the stall holders turned round and looked right at me…

Dawn. We MUST meet up and talk boats! Sounds like aperfect plan. If you know life might be for as long as you had hoped then it is important to make the most of what you have.
Problem is the impending divorce…

Might just need to go and grovel a bit…
C xxx

I’m in for the swap! Anyone fancy a 10 yr old girl with serious attitude, an 8 tomboy (very good at fetching logs) and a soon to be 3 yr old who only has one volume, extremely loud!

Lo said he didn’t want me tonight, he doesn’t like me…

Check out fb to see the fantastic cake my friend made for him .

Gargled with salt water tonight to get rid of horrible white coating on tounge and teeth. Seems to be bit Better.

Gone off every food at mo, don’t fancy anything. And that is just not like me!

Anyone watched embarassing bodies tonight? All about breasts. 1 in 8 women get it! On the rise.

Lol Joyce! My YD went through the i don’t like you phase for a while - i tried to explain to her that she shouldn’t say that but focus on what the person was doing that upset her ie i don’t like it when you say that - so then she started saying i don’t like your eyes, i don’t like your hair, i don’t like your clothes - lol!! She’s outgrown it now - she now mainly says i like you!

anyway - off to watch Grimm before bedtime!

Dee, Nando is 10 weeks old today. He’s getting so big now, I can see how much he’s grown even though I see him all day every day awwww <3

Hope your enjoyed your trip to the pub and had something nice to eat xxx

Girl, if you are trying to offload your kiddies you should list POSITIVE treats. Like mine is really good at making cups of tea and bringing it to you… My little boy is really good at giving foot massages… I don’t think you are going to have any takers if you continue like this…

I can’t look at the picture, Joyce! :frowning:

Catherine, go grovel. The man IRONS girl! This is precious you won’t find another one…

Sue, hope you are feeling a bit brighter - any volunteers to take over being positive for a while?

Must go sleep, besides operation ‘Crusty bread’ I have done sweet eff all today but bushed.

A day closer girls …

Have to say that laundry and ironing are very rare events and done with much sighing and v little speed or efficacy.

Joyce. Can your lovely offspring iron? Or hang out laundry in such a way that it actually dries?
You could be on to a winner there…
C xx

Wow! Catherine, you husband irons?! Mark usually refuses but lately he has started ironing his work clothes, very impressed  x

Catherine, my CLEANER sighs when she irons! It’s natural. Everyone hates ironing.

Joyce’s boy is 3 years old - how much ‘efficacy’ do you think you are going to get out of him???

evening ladies! Wat a day. Thankfully i feel better today had no paracetamol which is gr8 sign!
Managed to fall asleep around 430am woke at 1015am rather refreshed. After a lazy morning ironed most the laundry then lo’s came back and it has been havoc ever since. My youngest seems to be abit insecure probs due to not seeing us for 2 days so she is back in my bed. :frowning:
son is the best he is such a sweetheart we Will be going to library and pizza hut tomorrow spending quality time together. Mouth is ever so irritating can’t taste much gargle with salt water done gel applied but still not good. Managed to eat little bits so can’t complain. Today for 1st time in a long time Actually looked in the mirror properly and wat a sorry sight i am. Actually upset me my eyes are sunken and look so awful lashes sparse. Bit of a bald patch at top of head skin looks so such a nasty colour. My god where has “me” disappeared to? Whilst having t in kitchen told OH who looked deeply disturbed by it. I asked how he can bear to look at me as i wouldn’t wana. Wen son burst in and said “but mummy you’re beautiful”. Ladies this just finished me off couldn’t hold back the tears. I am angry with myself too for worrying about how i look instead of realising I’m lucky to have this crap treated. Anyway rant over needed to get that off my chest.

Joyce cake is Brill hope you have a nice time I’m sure abit of chocolate Will make you popular! Thankfully never had this with son but can put my life on it Will be different with daughter who is just a rebel from birth.

Julianna Lol at rampant rabbit is that sum sort of toy? Let me no wat they say about bloatedness I’m the same but not eating much has helped tbh. I suffer tho wen I’ve just eaten. I laughed very loud when read your post re Anne’s teens fetching things anyone would think you’re talking about a pet! Ha ha. I’m with you with the whole pet business tho couldn’t deal with cleaning up after one or walking it no matter how cute! I guess I’m not much of an animal lover. Exception of lo Ofcourse who is a total animal! Bless her.

Sue sorry you’re feeling so down. Hope this phase wont last too long and you are back to your usual cheery self. Pls feel free to rant. Your tea sounded gorgeous I’m so envious as can’t taste a thing.

Anne Lol at you giving your kids away! Made me chuckle! Thanks for your post re eyedrops they have settled now but have note for next time. I no that post was ages ago but still playing catch up!

Dee bless you Ofcourse we Will defo carry this thread on. In each and every one of you I’ve found such good support and I’ll raise a glass to a long happy and healthy friendship to prosper.

Good luck for tomorrow luv I’m so pleased it’s your last one. Serious envy even tho I’m 2 weeks behind you!

Hi Ladies.
Jumping in again sorry. Have read that some of you have trouble with your poor sore hands. I found out a little late that Neutrogena hand cream is brill for dry sore flaky hands. It is very much like lard!! but you only need a small amount and it keeps hands moisturised. I also found that Almond oil is great for helping nails that are brittle. Since i started using this my nails are not as brittle and therefore not as sore if i catch them.

Hope this helps. Keep reading your posts and feeling for you all. It will be over soon. ((((HUGS TO YOU ALL )))

Julianna, my ES does make tea, hoovers, irons , makes dinner, does shopping and gardening. He sees OH doing so it’s all normal. ED needs to be asked to things but since I have been having chemo she has stepped up. So maybe I will hang on to them a bit longer. ES can eat 2-3 times the amount of food you lot eat, defo no filling him.

Up early today, as postie knocking on door with plants. Lovely and sunny here so a bit of fresh air and little walk on the cards.

Hope everyone is feeling a little brighter today.

Hugs and love to all. Anne xx

Plants eh? Anne. Just think, by the time they are all established, this will be over.
Goody, goody! Needles and poison for me today.
Fell asleep in spare room, so might be taking myself to hospital…

Morning!

Anne, I’ll take your kids since they are Kitchen Gods. Will you pack some food with your son or we can agree on a food allowance… I remember when my nephew was 16, I couldn’t get to the supermarket fast enough …

Another grey rainy day here…

Have decided that husband who does ironing (however ungraciously) is worth keeping.
Kitchen staff on full duties this am and got breakfast in bed. So looks like no divorce after all.

Am worried that chemo is turning me into a Harpie…
Sue. Hope you are feeling a bit better. We have sun here. Do you?
Dawn. Massively interested in your boating. Am now looking at Canal de Garronne as a result of your post. Don’t want CROWDED and in August I guess that could be a problem. Thanks for your post and glad you have energy again.
Retirement envy for Sue and Dawn big time here!
Maj. thanks for tips about hands. Must get some cotton gloves to protect my nice clean sheets!

Dee.Little boys are just great aren’t they?. (not such brilliant teenagers, who tend to grunt and eat you out of house and home)We’ll still be here for you all never fear!

Mary. Ten gold stars for doing chemo and having LOs to look after. That also goes for Joyce, Lynzi, Needahug and anyone else I have missed. Hope you are all managing OK and that friends and family carry one helping out so well (apart from Marina’s MIL of course!).

Must finish chemo nesting (clenaing bedroom and hanging out washing) before more needles and poisoning today. MUST remember heated pack thingy for veins!)
Love C xxxx

Happy Birthday Big 3 yo Tank:)
No Joyce, you can keep 'em, lovely as they are, I always thought lo’s came without two important things 1) volume control and 2) an off switch!

Agree Anne, you have oh well trained:). Can’t complain here either, my men are doing a sterling job of looking after me, but think they are relishing the end of treatment:)
You’ve obviously done a really good job as a mummy, and your bo’s - do we call them Big Ones? - are a credit to you.
And new plants delivered, lovely, I ordered some over the weekend, but no email re delivery.
But I did get a lovely surprise yesterday when the delivery man knocked with one of my Boden orders - on a Bank Holiday! Most impressed, and they all fit:)

Jane, I would say if you can, don’t put anything off that you could do now. If bc has taught me one thing it’s the frailty of life and you have to seize the moment - no pockets in shrouds.

Have you tried good old prunes Julianna? But stand well clear…

Thank you Catherine, I’m sitting here chucking away at your fart, feeling so much better, even though you’ve made my watery eyes water even more lol x
Yep, save me a seat in the running away team - I don’t care where we run to, but la la land does sound appealing.

Mary, we are all allowed to rant, chemo does such nasty things to us, no wonder our body imagine plummets. But, bc is nasty, so the chemo is man enough for the job - and we will get better.
Rampant rabbit is THE toy - where have you been hiding? keep up Mary lol.
I’ll raise a glass with you to to long and HEALTHY friendship:)

Thanks Maj, it’s lovely when peeps pop in and share their wisdom to help us through:)

Think Ms Grumpy has departed, and just left Ms sore hands and snotty nose behind. Hands look as though they have third degree burns, but should have the Epaderm later today (thanks Fi x).
