Much love and BIG hugs to all…xxx

Paula, at first reading I thought you were taking the mickey with your post but I think you are serious…?
Good to hear you are feeling well and have lots of energy - long may it continue! If you can spare some energy could you send it my way?

Joyce, if he can feed the lambs, he can make me a sandwich! I’ll take him - you do offer 30 day warranty, don’t you?

Sleepy day, but rain stopped so must drag my ever expanding ass out for a walk …

Hi Girlies
It’s been a while since I have posted, I do read your threads and they are so accurate in all that happens with the chemo.
I have my last one a week on Thursday (19th) yipee… can’t wait to get it out of the way.
I have surgery booked for 19th May, Mastectomy and DIEP reconstruction at Addenbrooks - In one way I am really looking forward to it - in another way I am soooooo scared!!!
Still that is the last major hurdle prior to Rads in July!! Then hopefully “normality” can resume.
Back at work today after a week off sick due to bad SE’s from last chemo, hopefully number 6 will be kinder.
I must try to make more time to post more, maybe when I finish work prior to op I can have some time.
As I said, all of your posts are brilliant and I do really enjoy reading through them.

SOC… Huge amounts of that N.R.G comming your way…catch lol xxx

Lol Julianna! Sorry Paula, don’t recall you at all, did you start chemo in January? but good to hear you’re well.

Good to hear from you Tedds, I will be ’ watching’ how you get on with DIEP as I’m also awaiting surgery, and whilst I was thinking LD flap, I’m now thinking DIEP.

Fridge stocked up to the gills, and plenty of chocolate and cakes in cupboard:)
And finally have my Epaderm - will cream up after I’ve demolished a scone:)

Paula, thanks for the N.R.G.! It has not arrived yet but I am looking forward to it when it does!

Sue, did you go to Waitrose AGAIN? I think you should be in charge of keeping the fridge by the FED UP sofa stocked.

An effing no day for me - nothing seems to be able shift me from this sleepy state of mine.

By the look of the lack of posts either you girls are sleeping too or it is nice where you are and you are out and about …

No Waitrose for me today - big adventure I got to do Morrisons and Sainsburys! I’ll be in charge of fridge stocking, I loves a well stocked fridge!

Very quiet today, hmmm, where has everybody gone? What haven’t they told us?

Sue x

And Julianna, why are you on your side?

'cose I’m sleeping?

My piccie looks OK to me …

Good enough reason.

That Emma is at bloomin Starbucks again! Hmmm, our very own lady that lunches lol.

And of course Nando is with you know who in lynziland!

Just us lardy arses hanging around lol.

Julianna, great new pic.
Feel wiped out today. SIL coming for dinner and to cut OH hair tonight!! I want hair!! Have made a bit of an effort and put some make up on and my wig. Eyelashes departing rapidly now and I look really washed out. Fed up, hand is really sore from last chemo, veins are all black and tight.

Hi Peeps!
DONE and DUSTED!!! LAST ONE!!!
The canulla god looked down kindly on me today. First time and barely even felt it… But had to wait 2 and a half hours for pharmacy to mix up the lethal cocktail! There five hours in all.
Thanks Julianna for the sacrifice. What was it actually that you sacrificed? Surely not a choccie egg?
Love the new pic by the way. Is that YOUR hair or a wig? When did you take it?
Anne. thanks for the texts this morning. They really cheered me up…
We gave the nurses a huge box of chocs and a card when we left. Hoping never to see them again.
Sue. good to hear you are on the mend again. we can have our old rallying lady back again. Glad you have your fridge well stocked. Just writing that makes me feel hungry. Whoops. Must take sicky pills before supper. Spanish omelette I think. Made by Husband (who SAYS he still loves me. Can’t think why)who is very good at it.
HAPPY B’DAY Joyce. 30.Is that all? you are too young to be in this camp with us.What are you doing to celebrate? Or are you putting it on hold till later. We decided to have our REAL anniversary on the 8th of an as yet unspecified month this year.

Hello to Tedds and Paula. I have not come across you guys before, but great to read your posts.

Can feel lobster like flush creeping across my face as I type…

Sue. Off to check out Boden catalogue and poss. Cotton traders. think the canal trip is going to be on. Need to do a bit more Googling. It is pricey but it’s what I’ve always wanted to do and this year seems like a good one to do it…

Love to all

Catherine, LAST ONE! Well done. I cannot divulge my secrets, if I did how would I get a part time job as shaman?

Piccie was taken after the efforts at LGFB - it is my wig. I must take another one, this time reality Julianna. With my blotchy (yes, it has arrived) moon face, no eyebrows and general discombobulation.

FED UP!

Clare, I want hair too - the stubble I was proud of now seems to be leaving the building!

See Catherine, I told you Julianna was mustard!
Really thrilled your day has gone well, did I hear a rumour ir was your last one? Surely not!
Glad normal service has resumed at home, this is s tough time for everyone isn’t it, and if you are like me, then I guess you wind yourself up before chemo too. No wonder everyone has to keep their heads down!
Do it Catherine, do it - The Canal Du Midi is beckoning:)

My brows and lashes are continuing to depart along with my designer stubble head:(
So when you add in the red face, watery eyes etc you get such a good look dont you lol.

I have my rads planning on thursday, how long does it take???

Emma xx

Ow Julianna, you do look a bit sad in your picture, I’d like to see a smiley one please. Sorry to hear you’re fed up. I hate to think of you there on your own in your flat feeling like this. You don’t deserve it. Big hugs. X

Congratulations Catherine. It must feel amazing knowing you don’t have to go back and have any more! You did it! You did it! Yippee!

I think wherever you end up hiring a canal boat you’ll have a brilliant time. The boats they tend to hire are like mini plastic versions of peniches. We called them bumper cars. They’re great and have loads of room inside, they’re not narrow. The French canals aren’t as narrow as here. Have you and your oh handled a boat before? I think the people who hire them give you a run through. The locks are fun and depending where you are they work differently. Just think of all that lovely French wine, cheese and bread and other gorgeous things. Do you speak any French? Glad you two have made it up.

Sue I have visions of a bulging fridge. You obviously love good food and I expect it’s one of your great pleasures when you’re travelling in your van? We spent a lot of time in Andalucia in the sherry triangle, actually not far from Cadiz. We fell in love with that region, the sherry, the flamenco and the horses. Some of the food we had there was truly fabulous. I don’t think many people know how good Spanish cheeses are for example. We really got into the sherry and jamon too.

Rampant rabbit eh. I used to do Ann Summers parties to earn some extra money, many moons ago. It was always the quite ones who spent the most! I had a few embarrassing moments, like the night I did a party down my own street and got very drunk. A couple of items of lingerie were missing the next day and as I walked along the road I found them hung up in hedges where somebody had obviously found them on the pavement where they’d fallen off the hangers and picked them up.

I’m feeling fine at the moment, pretty ‘normal’. Dreading Friday, but can’t wait to get it over with. I’m lagging behind now.

Anyway, another day over for all of us and one more step towards the end of our treatment.

I’m glad we’re going to keep this thread going.

Emma, my rads planning took 20 mins. I was given all information the week before and was able to ask loads of questions, that took about 45 mins. On the day I had to put a gown on and lie on the CT scanner bed with my arms above my head ( they put your arms in padded arm rests that look like drainpipes). Then you go in the scanner for 2-3 mins then they put the tattoos in place. Job done. The tats were sore but only for split second and are tiny. You are fully exposed though so leave your inhibitions at the door.

Inhibitions, got used to exposing myself to the World now. Were you on your back or your front?
