Head is almost hurting and Feels alittle itchy not touched it today in fear the whole lot comes out.
Julianna hope itching settles mine is doing my head in literally! I was ok after juice on 3rd day maybe it gets easier? I no nausea has eased so much quickly since 1st fec. Maybe gig is just wat you need to focus on being well for!
Julie glad you feel better. I’m in blackburn not too far from you. Are you booking in for LGFB at Christies? It’d be nice to meet for the session if you fancy it? Any other northern lass’s on the Jan thread?
Debbie sorry i can’t remember wat regime you’re on hun but I’m on 3 fec then 3 t and my onc said hair can start coming back whilst on t. There is a thread of ladies who commented on didn’t lose hair with cold cap they have mentioned this too. Altho i have quite a good coverage of hair at min it is so thin Feels like there is nothing there. I don’t no if the hair Will remain tho. My hair didn’t really fall much till 2 days post 2nd fec i really thought it wouldn’t fall out as much as it did.

Hi Julianna - a gig? Hmmm, depends on who you are going to see as to whether it will be ok, and we will let you go lol! Do tell…

And Mary, I’m a northern lass - Altrincham. I’ve got my LGFB session booked at Christies on the 14th Feb, and can’t wait. I was lucky as I got a cancellation as they were booked up until late March early April, so if you haven’t booked yet, then get you skates on!

And Tankgirl - ne ne ne neh neh! Say no more x

Off now to the land of nod - wish it was the land of ned:) - in my dreams

Evening ladies!

No 2 has gone swimmingly - much better than no 1! I only had the steroids and odenastron through IV and just domperidone since - made me realise that all the SE’s i had other than tiredness were anti-sickness meds so feeling superb today! no real nausea at all as well!

Had lovely visit to lo’s school yesterday - then she came home as still sick with cold - eyes full up! she was cuddled up with me on the sofa whilst I had my chemo - much easier to be brave!!

My hair is still mainly there but still shedding - chemo nurses as well surprised by how much i still had. But it was 3-4 inches long and shedding everywhere it felt so got hubby to shave to no 5 length - so much better now!! been wearing my wig and no one noticed - asked if had my hair done! much less each and fuss with it so short - lo’s loving it as well!

Hope everyone is feeling better - sad to see everyone so low! definitely not helped by steroids i am sure! I am a very happy person - bounce around normally and on my steroid down days actually had thoughts that would be better for lo’s and OH if i wasn’t there! never felt so low in all my life!

Lovely day today - took lo’s to dancing, lovely nap, and long walk in the snow with family! Feeling so well - definitely worth telling bcn about any SE’s as they really sorted mine out this time by tweaking meds! So much better!

Tank girl - so sorry about you MIL!

Dawnrise - lovely boat!

Take care everyone!
Marina xx

hi Marina, reassuring to hear someone else agree about the steroids made them feel down too…thought it was just me…
I live on the Wirral and not had any snow here!!
by the way what are the LGFB sessions?where do you hear about them??
xx

Morning Ladies…

Mary- will definately be a good idea I am next at the christie on the 14th FEB so will ask them when the next sessions are available. dont know who to ask but will just ask everyone lol they sound like a really good session
Angel- they show you how to use makeup, false eyelashes and how to draw on your eyebrows, I believe you also get a goodie bag but just the hints and tips would be good for me

got lots of snow here and now need to go on a mission to find milk and bread for mother as she didnt heed my warning

have a good day all x x

julie

Nom, Nom, Nom…Sue, i am eating my hat!!! but it was a close one!

warming up for this avo’s game, can’t wait!!!

I have no itchy scalp! my Bro in law’s sis is a hairdresser and bought me a massive bottle of Aveda Shampoo, can only get in salons.
It is made using plant and flower essence, very expensive apparently. I wash my hair every day and no itchiness at all, Day 11 and a couple strands come out if i run hands through it. Will be getting a shave this week as OH doesn’t want it in his food!!X

Bit tired today, but lentil soup made, Beef casserole made and tea loaf in oven ! might try walk later to burn it all off!!!

Oggy Oggy Oggy!!!

Good morning,
Feeling brill today. Definitely change in anti emetics have done the trick.
Julianna, my head also itching. I use baby shampoo. I was advised to get sone baby bottom butter from Waitroise from Dec thread. I did try some of my oil I use for my underarm scare (boots own make as had less ingredients than branded sort) but hand looked like lint roller.

Snow all gone here, sun out so going for walk later when ES gets up, not brave enough on own yet as legs still a bit jelly.
Roast beef today with all trimmings; appetite definitely back with vengeance.

Enjoy the day girls, love Anne xx

thanks for the link you sent me Julie, much appreciated xxx

Tankgirl - oye oye oye - I’d have to say neither team deserved to win yesterday, but Scotland lost it iyswim. Still, like you I’m gearing up for this avo’s game - good excuse not to venture out in the cold. We’ve had a dusting of snow, but nothing drastic.

I love Aveda:) Are you using Shampure? My fave is the Blue Mavala, but I loves all Aveda products. Day 18 for me, and finally it looks as though the hair is departing. I may have to take the plunge and take off the length so it’s more manageable - it’s currently down past my shoulder blades (it’s clipped up in my picture).

Julie - I’m also at Christies on the 14th - it’s my LGFB - so I may bump into you:) The booking number is 0161 446 3056.

Hi Angel, the Wirral? - Are you having your treatment at Clatterbridge? I think the nearest LGFB for you would be at The Royal, Liverpool - The Linda McCartney Centre, 0151 706 3720. check out their web site lgfb.co.uk.

Good to hear no 2 has been kind to you Marina, and hope lo is feeling better today.

Well, must keep up the water intake - no 2 FEC for me tomorrow - 9:00 - boy that’ll be a killer! Rush hour traffic lol.

Hope all is well with everyone,

Sue x

hope everyone enjoying the snow xx

Thanks for that Sue,
the Countess of Cheshire hospital might actually be my closest as i live on the border of Wirral/Cheshire.my treatment is at Murrayfield which is a private hospital on the Wirral as got private health care through husband’s work…but will be having my radiotherapy at Clatterbridge…
xx

Hi Angel, you’re not too far from me then - I’m only over in Altrincham. I didn’t spot that the Countess of Cheshire held them as well, silly me. Get yourself booked as by all accounts they are very good.

Sue x

whoop, whoop!!! wot a win!!!

Best game so far Tankgirl! Roll on next weekend - providing the heart can take it lol.

Hair still shedding - interestingly the grey ones seemed to go first, but it’s the longest ones dropping well today (I have layers), so whilst all looks well - the thickness of the long lengths is defo reduced.

Still, can’t complain, and clippers are on standby!

Chicken gently roasting in the oven, starting to smell delicious:)

Hope your roast beef was nice Anne. Did you cook it well?

Sue x

Sue,where are you having your treatment?
xx

evening all. Glad to see alot of you in good spirits. I’m feeling abit better today lo is better which is such a relief.
Even managed to eat pretty well today. Overall i am fine just tired. Much better than after fec 1!
Sue good luck for tomorrow hope all goes well and se’s are small. I no i really do need to pull my finger out just lacked enthusiasm lately!
Brilliant Julie i have the number for them i was loo!ing on the LGFB website and sounds gr8 i think just wat we need. Will let you no when i find sumat out. Apparently they weekly. X

Evening ladies,

Woke up to winter wonderland here in Copenhagen - I understand you had some snow back in Blighty too… Driving was not brilliant this AM (dropping sister off at airport at ungodly 7 AM) - why is it that most people cannot drive in snow?

Appetite is back with a vengeance - cleared out the fridge AND ate all the ice cream I had at home… Still thinking about what else I could stuff into my face? And no, fruit or veggies are NOT an option.

Head itch stopped (I just wash what used to be my hair and now only a stubble with my shower gel - is that bad?) but now developed some sort of allergy on my forehead. Bumpy things that itch (this itch thing must be an SE I decided). Put loads of Savlon (Savlon for everything) on it and it stopped itching but my forehead looks a mess. I guess between having a loopsided boob with a nice 10 cm scar and being bald, it is the least of my problems!

Glad to hear everyone is doing better - hope WOC is feeling better, anyone ‘seen’ her lately?

I am doing great but feeling a little low - no, that is not correct. I feel ‘restless’. I don’t think living in these 3 week intervals is doing me any good.

The ‘gig’ is Snowpatrol - so, can I go? There is rarely any bands playing here that I want to see but in February there are 3 in quick succession that I DO. Hell with it! 3 days after 'EC, low immune week be damned, I WILL go and enjoy it, even if it kills me!

I have an LGFB (apparently this is international?) on Valentine’s day. Eyebrow and lashes seems to be OK, I did not notice any loss (as opposed to LG; that is gone…) but will go anyway, I can use some make up tricks; I do feel rather unattractive at the moment.

Good luck to all who are having juicing tomorrow!

Julianna

SOC - Snowpatrol is a must!!! i would consider that part of your therapy!!XX

Morning ladies,
Feeling quite good this morning, no nausea. I’m just getting sore, achy ankles, sternum and lower back from nuelasta injection. Managed a walk yesterday as all our snow went last Saturday night.

Sue, my roast was lush, put in slow cooker so no fuss, rosemary roast potatos ect. I had 5 year olds portion but little and very offten in the food department. Stocked up on my white bread, crumpets and crisps lol.

Julianna, my friend saw Snowpatrol in Manchester last week and said they were great; go for it and bloody well enjoy yourself. We are lucky here in Cardiff as loads of decent bands come and we have the Millenium Centre theatre has the big shows visit.

Good luck to all juicers this week.
Anne xx
