Starting chemo on 15th-any buddies out there?

I start FEC next week, October 15th, and have found this forum very helpful. I think it is a case of everyone has had different effects. You hope for the best and keep as positive as possible.
I have been signed off since August, after a deep wide excision in mid-July. Went back to work after three weeks, but was just too tired to keep going. I have enjoyed the time off, and as I could retire in January may decide to do that.
Your priorities change, don’t they?
Not looking forward to the next few months as I have Lupus, which means my immune system isn’t too good, but that gives me a reason to enjoy winter walks and tucking up by the fire.
Best wishes to those of you who are carrying on at work, either through necessity or dedication.

Margaret

Hi Margareth,
just want to wish you the best of luck with the chemo. I am half-way through mine now so too late to be a real buddy for you. I’m sire there are lots (unfortunatley!) of others who will be nearer the same timing as you.
I haven’t found it too bad, been difficult to keep working, but I have to.
I think staying positive is a major help if you can achieve it, we all have bad days but it’s important to enjoy what we can.
So may lots of cold but bright days come your way with crackling logs to lull you to sleep at night.
