Hi Everyone
After a very long and hard journey I have finally been given a date for chemo to start. I had a double mx on 24th July and have no end of troubles since but finally I am going in for a portacath to be fitted tomorrow and chemo on the 8th November.
I would love to chat to people starting chemo at the same time to help talk through feelings etc etc. I will be have FEC x 3 and T x 3

I’m here!! although I started my chemo on the 12th October and have another one on the 2nd November.
Would love to chat/keep in touch for as long as you need to?
It sounds like you’ve had a very rocky road to start, but now you have the date for your chemo atleast you know which way your heading ( if that makes sense!)
Unfortunately, this is 2nd time around for me for treatment ( first diagnosis 4 years ago) but we plough on!

Oh dear you seem to have been through a lot just to get to this point.
I can’t help re Chemo, my Cancer didn’t need it, but I am sure someone will be along soon to help out.

Hi Sam
Just popped in to say good luck with your treatment. I would certainly recommend joining the ‘November Sparklers’ thread as Karen suggested. Everyone will be going through the same experiences as you and you’ll be able to share the worries, the ups and downs, and hopefully a few laughs along the way too. It’s also useful to read the threads of earlier groups such as September and October, as that will give you a good idea of what to expect and a lot of useful tips.
I’m a member of the April thread, and the support of my group has got me through some difficult times - and we’ve laughed a lot too. Most of us are getting to the end of active treatment now, but I’m sure we’ll be staying in touch for a long time yet.

I tend to post in the August thread but we have a couple of things in common. I also had a double mastectomy in July and also am having chemo. I started that in August though

Sorry you have had such a rocky road.
There are a few of us that are already on a thread ‘Starting Chemo in November’. we are rather optimistically called the ‘Sparklers’ do join us it would be nice to all stick together. People from previous months have already offered some supportive posts and good advice.
I’m having the same chemo as you and am starting at the end of next week.
