Feeling anxious as starting chemo tomorrow. Tried to keep busy today treated myself to manicure and pedicure and now have dark purple nails.
Good luck for tomorrow Jem! I finished chemo in February 2012, can’t believe it’s nearly a year ago now?!? Chemo is no bed of roses, but it was nowhere near as bad as I’d feared it was going to be! It’ll fly by!! A mani/pedi is a great place to start, keep treating yourself!
Take care, K xx
February 2013 rather, I added a whole year there?!?
Hi Jem12
I am about to have my last chemo next week, am on FEC-T. Then i go on to surgery and radiotherapy.
I have done 3 of the FEC part and 2 of T part, its not easy but being prepared for the side effects helps a lot. Once you have done your first cycle you will get an idea of your own side effects cycle and can be a bit more prepared for them.
The District nurse advised me to buy a pack of cheap toothbrushes (mine were 4 for 80P or similar), and change toothbrush every cycle so you are not taking bacteria into next cycle.
Take each day as it comes and rest when you need to.
Sending you big hugs xxxxxxxx
