Hi
How long do you normally wait after seeing the onc until chemo starts, does it depend on your hospital and there waiting times.
I saw oncologist today and she said I should not have long to wait.

Hi Anne - hope you saw my response to your question in Glas / EK thread. In my case it was 2 weeks from onco to chemo. Hope you’re doing ok.

Hi, I get treated at Bristol. I was told by my Onc it would be about 3 weeks to the start of my chemo, but the sister at the day unit phoned me the next day with a date for the following week.
Hope all goes well xxx
Hi I had a two week break between seeing the oncologist and starting treatment. In the week between I had a visit to the unit and had a talk with the chemo nurses and had pre assessment bloods etc.
Hi all
I am starting chemo on the 9th April. This is the next step in this rollercoaster ride which started 8 weeks ago.
I have been very fortunate that I have had the best of treatment from the surgeon, nurses in the ward and Linda my BCN nurse.
Thanks for all your replies I will let you know how I get on. I am getting 6 FEC, and then a break. i will then travel to the Beatson in Glasgow for 20rads.
Love Anne xx
Good luck for this week Anne, it is hard going especially those few days after chemo, but there is light at the end of each FEC tunnel.
Good luck to anyone else due to start soon too.
