Hi all! Well one down five to go!!! Other than a snitchy nose when the C went in feeling fine but guess it’s a case of sitting and waiting for the SEs to set in! Have only skim read today’s messages as didn’t want to see the sinner date results-sad I know-but glad you got the bags sorted Jo!

Anywho must go pick up the puppy from his grandparents’ lol !

Found it much better than I thought it would be if we’re talking about the actual process but am lucky I have good veins! Next one 17 Dec and PICC being put in on 16th so should make things even easier! Sorry to hear your dreading the next one Trish! Just think- 1/3rd down after that!!! How have you lost 6pm so quickly? You poor thing! I could do with that - I took solace in chocolate and wine since DX! However doubt the steroids will allow any weight loss and I will prob just stay on the chocolate

Xxx

Well done you two on chem1…sinner date…love it Em could almost have persuaded me to find a TV. We used to do our own meat but household mostly veggie now and only miss odd things like lobster and big bowls of mussels.

I’m an elephantophile too…reckon if you love 'em then the wrinkles won’t seem as bad. Got two big wooden ones in the house, but never thought of their trunks. Been closest in Thailand…and CHester zoo…

Slept most of today after the OOH visit last night to give me more antibiotics. He then upset our surgery nurses by telling them they should be doing district nurse visits (they do, but not at night when you’ve just had chemo and don’t want any more problems! grr).

Fancy that curry now but only if I can stay awake long enough.

Wow so jealous youve been to thailand to see the elephants
Think dinner date is off air now we will have to find another programme to conflab over
Enjoy your curry
Love and hugs kim x

1st one done and thankfully nothing to report! Only exciting thing was my veins turned a lovely shade of red and itched a bit when the very first lot of steroids went in. Didn’t last more than about 20 mins and then turned blue again. Very odd. No doubt i’ll spend the rest of this evening waiting for something to happen… i really don’t feel any different.

Yep, i’m peeing that rainbow too. I’ll be on here quick smart if anything occurs. Hope everyone else’s is good too. xx

No mention of any self injecting! SO happy.

Well done minny
Hope the se’s are kind to you
Not everyone needs those jabs i dont think so dont worry
I havent had any and im on no3
Love kim x

minny, jam123 and em, well done guys, thats the worse bit done, the thought of what they’ll do . hope all of u dont have many se’s but please keep us posted as some of us may have tips.

jo, sorry you having a bad time with that bloody wound, we need to get a perticition up as we just need you to get started on number 1 then we all started.

im vice chairman of the royal britiish legion, as im also a case worker voluntary in my spare time, today i attended a funeral of a local 24year royal marine, who died in a car crash in scotland by hsi barracks. i ddnt know him but the branch went as he was a local lad, full military funeral, church and cememtry full of family and hundreds of friends, his school friend spoke, and it was lovely to hear such lovely stories, that had us all in tears. but it also made me feel so lucky to be alive. even if we do find some days total battles. we have each other as well as family and friends, but we all understand what this is like and im thankful of that.

pink hugs xxxxxxxxxxx

Kim - sorry about the cut off conversation, would you believe I fell asleep and only just woke up when OH come home half hour ago lol! Africa is amazing, we went to Tanzania, climbed Mt Kilimanjaro and went to Zanzibar (to see the zanzibarbarians!)…maybe if the loan company keeps accidentally paying you, it can be a post BC treat

Well done em, minny and jam123…rest up and big hugs for getting through the first! Enjoy the rainbow pee.

Jo - sorry to hear about the bags, you’ll be an expert by the end of this! Agree with the OAP, it took me 20 min to get down the stairs this morning, huffing and puffing…hahaha.

Mmmmm your dinners all sound lovely…must go find some food!

Lots of hugs to you all, as Kaz says, its so nice to have family and friends and the pinkies to get us through the journey!

Cat xx

Hi
I wondered where youd gone ha ha
You must have needed it.

They have certainly cocked up but feel rich ha ha
Kim x

Well done on getting the first one out of the way… is it just me left now??? Surely there’s someone else who’s not started chemo yet…? Sadly, I’m certain there will be by the time I begin :frowning:

Hope that apart from the rainbow pee, you escape with no SEs at all, and have a great evening, relaxing now that you’ve got the first one out of the way! I’m sure that’s deserving of a drink…
