Speaking of bodily functions during chemo. I was reading Even the eyebrows? last night (not recommended, by the way. Really quite boring, unlike the C word by Lisa Lynch which is a must book to read for us chemo ladies. Highly recommended. With the right mixture of humour and pathos. Just like this thread) It’s about this high powered woman undergoing chemo. Well…she had a horrible accident with diarrhoea, which apparently can be one of the SEs. While she was out she had a violent urge but couldn’t get to a loo fast enough. I don’t need to spell what happened. Poor thing! Now THAT would be excruciatingly embarassing! Weeing in the snow is very mild compared…

Thanks lulu im glad im home i get myself so worked up about going im tired now. App its not as harsh as fec and no your not meant to feel sickly but we will see.
I know a lot of people feel achy and tired so we will see.
I know will try and eat more just not hungry bloody chemo!!!

Kaz - well done on getting through #2 and glad the white cells are back up. I had an “abnormal kidney function” the last time (whatever that means) and felt guilty as I’d had a glass of wine a few days before so thought that had caused it…but the nurses just laughed at me and said it wouldn’t be related. Don’t worry about your sore throat, I’ve had tonsil issues following both ECs, they just give you antibiotics if it gets bad…just keep an eye on your temperature.

I hope you don’t mind another new joiner!!! i’ve chatted to several on another thread but thought i’d say Hi as am loving all the chit chat between you all, makes me feel like i’m not alone! Im Sarah, age 38 and was dx 25th Sept. Had lumpectomy with 5 nodes removed (all clear) but due to my age and grade 3 have been advised for chemo. I had my 1st session last Tuesday, should have been 3 x EC and 3-4 Tax, but i had a reaction to the E so my Onc has now changed it to 4-6 C and Taxotere. I should have been having it every 2 weeks but as i’ve changed to Tax its now every 3 weeks which just means it will take longer! No hair loss yet but am sitting here waiting for it to fall out, i had it cut short from very long. Just recovering from the weekend, and feel i bit more human now… so thought i’d drop a line to introduce myself and hopefully you can all help me along my chemo journey…
