starting my pink road of cemo, 15th nov

Afternoon all

Another BCCaholic here to and hope we’re all feeling ok(ish).

Kaz my deepest sympathies for Stuart’s loss, these anniversaries never get any easier. Next Wednesdsay when I have FEC2 will be the anniversary of my mum’s death from cancer I think that will be an emotional day all round.

Had my CT scan this morning and bumped into a lady who’d had BC 18 years ago. It was really good to have a chat and we spent a long time chatting about wigs. My head hair is sticking on fine but lower down started to come out last night - I wonder if you can get a wig for there?

Reeb xx

glad u got on ok reeb, and bet that was great chatting to lady. 18 years ago!! see we wil be ok. xx

and il be thinking of you next week xxx somepeople leave us in some ways but never out of our hearts

Kaz i went to debenhams yesterday cause they do mx bras on line. They said they didnt av any in store but had a lady who could measure you up and help chose appropriate bra and then pocket it for £5. I dont know yet if any of my existing bras can be pocketed cause too uncomfortable to put em on.

Reeb love the idea of wigs for lady gardens. I see a gap in the market there girl. Will be thinking of you next wednesday. X

My name is Debbie and i am well and truelly a BCCaholic. Love you all and so glad you’re here (although really wish none of us needed to be).

Kaz glad your feeling ok.
Im post 3 days after first tax and feeling very tired and sorry for myself hope it lifts soon could do with a big hug : (

LMAO! Not from personal shopping experience, I hasten to add! I think I first discovered there were such things from reading a Tom Sharpe book, not sure if it was Wilt, back when I was a teenager!! Without internet access, I was never quite sure if they really existed… but apparently they used to be commonly used in film nudity scenes back when the actresses actually wore flesh covered body stockings for modesty’s sake…

I can’t imagine anyone wearing one for normal day to day ‘moments’!!!

Kimmie - big hug from me. Go google merkins and make yourself giggle.

Kaz - still think the swarowski crystal merkins are the best…

The things you learn on this thread!! Never mind going to college, uni, etc. Get yourself right here, right now for an education in how the other half lives…he he
There’s even a Merkinworld!
I’ll be blown!

i was n ssp straight away as our place didnt pay sick pay,
i rang Macmillan, and they have a benefits team, that will help you, thye will look at your circumstances and advise what you can claim for,
you can also apply for a Macmillan grant.

enjoy madness, it will be a blast babe, xx and have fish and chips tonght is about you xxxx

ESA will kick in once SSP ends, and you get SSP for six months, so it may not be an issue. I’ve heard other people say that the ESA claim was really easy, and others who have been turned down for it even though docs have signed them off… so I really can’t tell you what will happen. Fight for it, though - we pay tax and national insurance, so we should be able to claim for these things when we need them.

Sophie xx

I had a conversation re esa yesterday…and basically do not bother unless you have no other means of support :(((( reason is that if claiming tax credits they will dock them and if contribution based through NI you will end up with less money than working and cutting hours…
If other half working they means test them and say you don’t qualify so no way around it as far as I can see! I’m working but not half as much as i was but at same time have to keep business going to pay the business bills and employees…no matter i’m not getting paid! This is a minefield to get ur head even partly around and makes claiming tax credits look like a piece of cake when you need a masters in maths to even get an inkling of how they work it out!t

Kimmie BIG HUGS coming your way. XXXXXX

Kimmie big hugs

Reeb xx
