Still hurting after a year

Hi, i had a mastectomy and flap reconstruction a year ago and still am very sore and uncomfortable. i also have a fluid lump on my back that keeps reoccuring since the op. My surgeon has advised more surgery, which i am not sure about, is there any one that has had the same experience and what did they do? thanx
