Hi, it’s been a while now since I last posted - I was active in the October 16 starters thread.
am one year on from active treatment (left side, primary grade 1, surgeries, chemo, rads and am now on Letrozole).
sounds daft…but I think this warm weather aggravates my rad area! My left breast is still bigger than my right, and is still tender to touch and is knobbly round the scar area…this makes me worry about recurrence. I don’t know if this is even possible on Letrozole?
i am coping relatively well with the se’s associated with the Letrozole, but again my legs and joints really ache in this weather.
Am hoping it is the weather!! And nothing more serious. Is there anyone else out there suffering in the heat?
xx
Hi suebond88,
It’s nice to hear from you.
It is certainly hot out there at the moment, but if you’re ever worried about symptoms like this, do feel free to get in touch with our specialist breast care nurses on 0808 800 6000, or post again in the Ask Our Nurses section of the Forum: forum.breastcancercare.org.uk/t5/Questions-about-signs-and/bd-p/lumpssymptoms
Take care,
Becca at Breast Cancer Care.
Hi my treated boob has definitely felt more tender theses last few weeks. 8 months since WLE and SNB x 2. My feet have been a big painful too, like walking on marbles!! I still get pain when I jiggle my boob ie if I try to jog any distance or even run up the stairs. Will this ever get better? I hope to go back to zumba classes but even my cast iron sports bra doesn’t seem to prevent the tenderness!!?
