Been knitting sheep this evening with some of my church folk, like one does. I have 1.75 sheep ready to sew up (one has only three legs knitted so I have to do that before I stitch them up tomorrow!). All in all we are making 10! Knit and k-natter… great fun

And as for skating - that’s WHY I’m the donkey: so I can be on my ass on the ice and act like it was intentional! Don’t worry, I’m well padded so it’ll be a soft landing for you!

Hope everyone having treatment or sitting on waiting benches or any other bc related stuff is OK. GP has changed my de-flushing drugs today, so we’ll see if the new one works… will I keep my place in the Chorus of Chillow Soldiers? Watch this space!
JCJ, your homage to beanchland was brilliant - I followed it by humming the hymn tune and reading your words, Just to let you all know, I was given te all clear re my - menopausal symptoms.

I see that “Daddy” seems to be developing into an incoherent and incompetent buffoon. Should be easy enough to find a role model or two!! And I assume he’ll be nipping off to the bar at the drop of a hat for a little snort.

Well ladies, (and Clunk). I heard 26 children playing Away in a Manger on descant recorders today in their music lesson. (It wasn’t anything like as dire as I was expecting it to be!!) and most of the following came, unbidden into my head: (Help! I think I may need a psychiatrist??)
(I usually have problem with Away in a Manger, since I, foolishly, chose it as the tune to tap out on the edge of the bed during labour when ES was born - “to aid pain relief” - yeh? right! - 48 hours later … I NEVER wanted to hear it again - and guess what? EVERY Christmas …)
Who’d have guessed 28 years later:-

A massive black spider is guarding the shed
The stars in the bright sky shine down on us today
As we all perform in the Benchland panto-play
The camels are skating on the new Benchland rink
We’ve all lost our marbles, so our Other Halves think.

A tear came to my eye, JCJ, although it may have been a tear of laughter. I will never be able to sing some of these carols again with their original lyrics!!
I never told my OH about Benchland/Woodland until recently–he kept asking why I was hooting with laughter.

Just scratched an itch on my back. “Oh it’s a stray hair got inside my jumper” (I have long hair which seems to be falling out more easily at mo) Pull. OW! It’s attached. Or was! Good grief! It was soo long, I actually measured it: SEVEN cm!! (Nearly THREE INCHES!!) Bl**dy 'ell! I’m turning INTO a donkey!!
Hiya…all these carols are hilarious…Congrats Caroline…good news is always brilliant to hear…all this talk of panto camels…I was dreaming of a fluffy panto camel with long eyelashes skating…mustn’t read before I go to bed…JCJ…serious hair envy…mine is still grey…curly and yukkkk…glad it’s nov…don’t go out without my hat on!!!..at least I have some this year though…it’s really cold with a bald head…don’t know about a bafta…we’re deffo looking at a lot of laughter…fantastic…RC…can’t see your sheep with explorer will log off and log into Mozilla…

apple you can have my back hair! Don’t find it particularly attractive to have long black hair on my lower back! It’s a good job it’s not a place I see in the mirror - or anyone else gets to see!
