I don’t think there’ll be a dry eye in the house tonight. The juxtaposition between the slapstick at the start, (please everyone keep your feet, hooves or skates firmly on the escalator!) and the beautiful ending of the Christmas story will get to everyone.

I have the red nose without the communion wine or the glitterberry juice (it was Jane wot got giggly, not me, wrong rev) as I have succombed to the season rhino-virus aka cold. Soo glad I’m not needing to avoid infections this year. Anyways, shepherd number large number will be wearing a mask to contain the sneezes and nasty bugs. Also if you spot a flushing soldier who alternately shivers and flushes, that’s me.

I’m awake! Just made it in time for curtain up!! In my haste to eat my chips whilst changing into my costume, I seem to have mislaid my piece of fish and I can’t see where I’m going so I may have the donkey suit on back to front! Oh dear! There seem to be several cats following me: I think I know where that fish went! 
No JCJ your costume is not back to front. Your’re fine, there are no cats following you, you ate the fish before the chips, do you remember now? Everyone calm down …breathe deeply…and we’re calm…we’re calm.

I think we’re doing well, the audience are making appreciative noises and clapping at appropriate times. So it seems to be ok so far.
