wecome back Nicky. Yes I have had a run of bad luck but I am now sitting on my own enjoying the perfect peace…having a lovely glass of Friscati with my daughter. I am really ok…just busy, busy, busy…feeding the 5000!
My elder daughter is away on a cycling and tenting holiday in the Pyrenees before heading off to Venice then Bologna…however I spoke to her last night and while she was in their tent on a tiny campsite in the Pyrenees she became unwell and they had to wake up the owner of the site at 2am who kindly moved them into an empty chalet to await the doctors arrival. The doctor examined her and gave her an injection which seemed to ease the dreadful pain in her stomach. She then left but gave them a number to call and a letter to get off quickly to hospital by ambulance if she became ill again. She manage to sleep that night eventually, then cycled the next day to the next campsite but the pain returned that afternoon…she ended up in hospital for 2/3 nights…not allowed anything to eat… tests showed she is not pregnant, (not that she thought she was) the xrays, and put on a drip , lots of bloodtests and a nasty procedure up her b*m! She wasn’t allowed to eat and she was very upset and crying because they didn’t explain to her what they were about to do…disgraceful… and her poor boyfriend had to return to the new campsite on his own…I bet he was worried and wished they had taken their car!!!
My neice’s boyfriend was also admitted to the hospital my Dad went to last week and after all his tests they think he has a serious kidney problem but has ben discharged meantime and tests ongoing… While he was in the hospital his Dad was also admitted to another ward as a hernia operation he had recently had become infected!!..Girls do you think I should lock my doors and hide away…or head off somewhere as far away as possible to get away from all this weird stuff that is happening around me?..haha…I am really ok. I seem to be able to cope well in a crisis…not sure I can cope with anymore bad news though! Love to you all. Val XX

I’m all psyched up and nowhere to go. Rang the hospital and no beds available. Phone again at 2pm - back to the waiting game again!
Nicky xx
…still no beds. Phone again in a few hours. This is torture. At least if they just said no bed at all I could get on with something.
Oh Nicky, this is rotten for you…the hanging around and having to wait. Accept my sympathy…hope you get work soon XX Val
that was a mistype and should have been…hope you have WORD soon…
I have a bed so off to the hospital now. Will be off line for a while.
Nicky xx
Will be thinking about you and looking forward to reading how you get on. All the best Nicky, love Val
Goodness, what a lot to catch up on! For now I’ll just say that I’m glad you are coping well with everything, Val, but do hope that things will now improve for your family. You certainly deserved the Frascati after all that!
To Nicky (although you won’t get this until it is all done and dusted!), that I’m thinking of you and sending lots of positive SR vibes and prayers.
To Carole, well so many of the others have said it, but how on earth did it get punctured? What a nuisance for you.
I had a very wet and windy weekend in Norfolk. The tent survived but I did wonder on Sunday night, especially as some people did have their tents blown away. It was lovely to see everyone again though and as well as being medieval during the daytimes, we had an Art Deco party on Saturday night that was great fun and had a 4 page cocktail menu arranged by one couple. Because we had a generator, we also had fairy lights and an illuminated bar sign. All a bit crazy in a field in a nature reserve… I’d like to request some SR vibes for G, one of my medieval friends. He has just been diagnosed with bowel cancer and is awaiting scans and treatment plan. He was one of those who have been incredibly supportive of me and we had a few good chats over the long weekend.
Love to everyone and I’m looking forward to more SR story from Carole and hearing about your holiday, Victoria.
Eliza xx
Hello Eliza, Glad to have you back after your tenting escapades. Yes I am sending possitives vibes to your friend G. I hope they get his treatment plan worked out soon so that he can then get on the road to recovery. Isn’t the waiting just he**ish.
Carol am missing your posts and wondering how your implant is and if they have sorted you out yet. You have had a tough time of it Carol.Let us know how you are if you are up to it.
Theresa, I am glad you are spending more time in Normality. I see you posting and giving your support to other ladies still. If you see MOnica please tell her I send my love. I haven’t spoken to her in ages…
I have no mobile phone anymore ( daughter has mine as hers got drowned!) so if anyone trying to contact me it would have to be through here or email. Love to everyone else… I am supposedly taking it easy today but there is still meals to make and pots to wash…think I will suggest a businessmens lunch out tomorrow! XX Val
Val - I saw Monica last Monday we went to lunch in Newcastle with some of the other North East girls… the two of us are still hoping to get up to Edinburgh again to gatecrash one of the Edinburgh lunches…
Won’t be this month as I think you are all meeting up the weekend I am going to BCC younger women’s forum in Newcastle…

Thanks Thersa…puzzled solved.
Morning girls…Val (sl) I got an e.mail through too that I had a message on here…not had that before, but then the e.mail profile has changed somewhat! How you doing, hope your string of negative stuff, turns to positive now…vibing away for you.
Nicky thinking of you love, SRs are doing their circle of vibing stuff…hope all goes well love.
Carole hope your mishap with the puncture gets sorted quickly and your continued expansions are more positive…![]()
Di you’ll be soon having your MRI, so here’s to positive results and and an even quicker rememdy for your poor shoulder.
Theresa give your CT people a phone call, it seems to me you have to do the chasing up for anything like that nowadays!
Eliza, pretty glad the tent didnt blow away…got visions of you chasing it up and down the Norfolk broads :-)Vibing away for your friend too love ~~~~~~~~~~ (my idea of vibes across the airways).
We took our son up to Saltburn on Monday to begin his new career in teaching yesterday! His mentor, who should have taken him under her wing yesterday, was unfortunately away with illness. He hasnt worked in a school before, and I think the staff think he has…so he will have tons to learn, before he even starts on the tough stuff…Still I’m here at the end of the phone…and he is an independent cookie, so I’m sure he’ll be fine…after the initial shock that is …
take care all
Helenxxx
Whoo hoo, the scone express is still rolling ! Just been a mad mad baking frenzy since back from Scotland but hopefully now will quiten down a bit. I long to sit out in the sun and read a book !
My youngest started at the high school today, awww, all grown up walking down for the bus this morning, the first years have a day in on their own then the whole school in tomorrow. As well as baking for market tomorrow I am making the traditional "first day back at school cake " ! Tis a huge chocolate concoction so I’m sure it will go down well.
Ooooh Carole, hope you are on the up and up,I had this mental picture of your poor boob being repaired with a puncture repair kit…oh if it was only as simple…big hugs for you.
Wow Val(sl) what a trooper you are but really do hope your luck takes a turn for the better and you can have some nice being good to you time.
After your delay at getting a bed hope everything goes well with the op and recovery Nicky, just you take it easy. Sending positive vibes to your friend Eliza, it’s great that he has got your support to help him through this worrying time.

Hi guys
Boysoboysoboys but do you lot get up to stuff! Scottish Val, what a time of it. HUG CITY! Victoria, and as someone said - publication!
Eliza - love the Art Deco thing. A friend is having her 40th next week and the dress code is cocktail dress of any era. I’m channelling a 30s vibe (basically 'cos it helps disguise the highly wrinkly flat chested nature of the “boob job” :D). Got a fabulous 1935 pattern for dress with overblouse but thought it was far too much effort considering my shape is changing literally every week. So bought a fabulous 30s (if you squint) dress with short bolero. Going to do that 30s crimp thing with the hair and will hopefully win a 30s evening bag on Ebay shortly. ![]()
Everybody else too. It’s impossible these days to keep up, there’s so much going on. I’ve read, I’ve assimilated, and two vibevilles are heading out there.
1 YEEEHAAAAA! to all that are riding for Normality!
2 YEEEHAAAAA! but with HUMUNGOUS HUGS, to all that are STILL going through the coyote’s bottom burps of a time!
Me - can I just set a little teeny thing straight. I did not puncture it!!! :DDD Really, what do you think Steel gets up to. Well, ok, probably enought to do the damage, but really, really, she didn’t. LOL!
Nope. T’was a doctor. I still have that cesspit stinking, son of a rotten skunk seroma (although to be fair it’s going down now). Anyhow, during aspirations, one of the miriad of doctors managed to puncture the expander. Could I sue? A friend did indeed raise the matter of compensation. Would I? Like hell I would! Life (otherwise spelt as s**t) happens. Getting it replaced early November. The whole thing is sent to try Steel’s patience. Well I can tell you now. Steel is up to anything the Boss can throw at her, and then some. So bring it on you varminty buggarts!.
Oh, and I am thinking of you all, even if that last bit did sound a tad like me, Me, MEEEE!
Hi Carole - good to see Steel back on form… ![]()
Phoned up about the ct scan this morning… got transfered twice then reached an answer phone that said they would call back… nice lady just did… went and checked… ooh yes they had recieved a card with a request for a ct for me… and she had no idea why it was sitting there and not been actioned… apparantly the computer system is down so she claims they will call back tomorrow and give me an appointment time… lol

Hi all,
Pleased to hear the old Steel spirit is alive and kicking Carole, I love the way you manage to swear without swearing!! The party sounds great, love dressing up. I’ve invited all my family (there are a lot of us!!)for tea and cakes for my birthday next week, maybe I should come up with a theme too?
Glad you had a good weekend away Eliza, love Helen’s image of you chasing the tent, sending positive vibes for your friend too. My Mum had bowel cancer a few years ago, we were very worried as her mother and grandmother had dies of same. however treatment now is so much further on and she is 5 years free now so I hope the outlook is a good for your friend.
At last you have had some luck with your CT Theresa, mine is finally coming around, next Thursday. Like yours there was a clerical c**k up and the thing wasn’t requested for 5 weeks!
Great news that the Scone Express is rolling like crazy Sandra, look forward to more market tales from you! Hope you’re going on okay Helen, how are your dizzy spells now?
Thinking of you Nicky and hoping all has gone well in hospital. Great to hear from Sal and good to know things are better without Arimidex, I’m on countdown to finishing…only 4 years and 2 months to go!! I would come off it but stats say it’s the best bet for me being post menopausal as node positive.
Blimey I’m rabbitting as usual, love to all - hope you have managed a relax Val SL, and all of you in Normality are going on well,
Di xxxxxxxxxxx
Hallooooooooo!!!In Manchester which is definitely NOT Normality so just popped into Joe’s for a quick slug of moonshine before I’m on my way again.
