What? another beautiful day here in Yorkshire!!!yipee
I remember the golden girls…didn’t ever think I’d ever be one lol
;-0…not yet I’m not!!!I think there were 3 ladies Carole.
Wow Rosie you are really busy…this weather gets you that way doesn’t it!! Yeah I think I’d rather do the jeans and denim too!
Morning Theresa, enjoy your walk Di, don’t go too far at first!!!
My daughter has taken off work, and we are going to chill for a while then this afternoon, we are both going for an indian head massage. It was a chrissy present from my hubby and son so its all happening this week. Oh and going to a play at the local theatre tonight too! Whew not sure about that one…first time surrounded by people!! It’s like buses, nothing happens then it all comes at once. Still it will make today go much faster!!!
catch ya later

Morning All
Grey up north, plenty of cloud too, not cold though so hey ho… every cloud has a… and all that.
Well, Lizzie should be settled in by now. Fingers crossed for her (only one set, mind. Else it’s bad luck)
Now then Easter dresses. Steel… Don’t you dare put Cassey in one ( it’s just not fitting for my alter ego ) Nor is an Easter bonnet!! I mean it Steel. Besides, I won’t be able to climb in and out of my train if you do and then… Well… We’ll just have to put you in the stocks, on the cow pat throwing stall. Hehehehe
Chuckle! Never fear, Casey has some other stuff to be getting up to, and a dress would just get in the road. ![]()
Wow, sounds like a great day Helen! Wish I was doing that.
No dresses for me either! Although Mule may reluctantly agree to clean her boots for the festivities. Loving the image of the cow pats Jane.
I do remember the Golden Girls on tv, although I never watched it. I was just trying to make out I’m younger than I am.
Rosie, thinking of you today. It’ll be an emotional time losing your hair, but you’ve got plenty of good company here.
Helen, have a great day. I hope its a proper Indian head massage, not the apache type! Yikes.
The sun keeps trying to poke out of the clouds, so it’s back to the gardening I think this morning. Then lunch with an ex-colleague and physio this afternoon. How did I ever find time to work before all this?
If anyone is in need of a laugh, someone just emailed me a youtube link. Hilarious!
Thhhhhhhhe Sun Has Got His Hat On… Hip Hip Hip Hoooorayyyy…
The Sun Has Got His Hat On And He’s Coming Out To Play. Yaaaaaaaaaay finally the sun has arrived in Manchester. Sope I’m off to the garden and get some fresh air.
Hmmm, if this goes on Steel might be forced into a dress after all!
Rosie, it’s a really strange day when it starts to come out isn’t it? Love the 40s image. Remember the rolled up sleeves and high waisted dungarees, and always have your best red lipstick on. ![]()
We’ve got an excellent day here too! Same for me, over to the veg patch and keep digging. Hey, Digging for Victory takes on a whole new meaning. ![]()
the wooden spoon…well, picture this - meece is guided into position by waving wooden spoon, Tupperware jug is in place then voom - quick shove with fore mentioned spoon into jug and voila…meece a la jug!! There’s an art to it believe me and can be a bit of a party trick…mary x
ps ponchocat says hell no maam to the dress, just wouldn’t go with the poncho would it?? And I can’t do heels either - like Crocs though…a dream for your feet…ahhhh
hiya! just found out i have to have 4 more chemo not 2 after surgery and will still probably have rads! so head back in shed

Bummer Nikki, but then again we do what it takes to get rid of this. Hang in there.
An artist too! Hah, we’re quickly gathering a whole range of creative types. Authors, poets, artists, actors. What a team! Somewhere way back I wrote a description of the first few of us. I’ll see if I can find them. I think I only got as far as Steel, Mule, Casey, and Riviera. Blackjack did a good description of herself somewhere. And I can’t for the life of me remember what Runner (my horse) looks like. I’ll need to find him too. Then, do your stuff. Fantastic! ![]()
Only Croc I’ve had dealings with is Crocodile Dundee.
Heard about them though. Supposed to be excellent footwear.
Red - sorry to hear there is more treatment still to come than you realised… {{{hugs}}}
I wonder how Lizzy has got on today… hopefully back in the ward by now.

Hi all…was going to do quite a bit today…but ended up not doing too much at all! Haven’t been in town for 8/9wks, so went with my daughter to get some stuff for her hols. It’s funny but I was a bit wary about going and didn’t want to stop long. After walking half way across town I felt a bit tired, so by the time we got back I felt proper Kn@ckered! So we ended up not going for the massage after all. She was quite ok with that…it gave her some quality time for herself. Not going to the theatre either. Couldn’t face all those people, but my friend also rung up and said it was 3hrs long with 2 intervals and very intense…too much!! I was really going because my OH wanted to, I can’t face 3hrs…maybe later on!!! He was understanding and as I speak is trying to 'give ’ the tickets away!!
Oh Nikki thats sounds great!! what a good idea, can see this is gonna be a block buster book!! Sorry you have more treatment than you thought you’re having.
I get my results tomorrow, will find out if they’ve cut all these bad guys out!!! Will have to trounce the sheriff if they haven’t…they will have!!!
Hey Carole I remember having a bright pink all in one flying suit…difficult to go to the loo when wearing it…and my hair was in an affro perm!!!mmmmm the poodle look didn’t suit me, but perms take some growing out!!!Never had another perm after that!!!woof woof!
Way to go Lizzy!!

Helen - I had a bright pink jumpsuit too when I was about 18 - and the pub we went to had outside loos so you can imagine middle of winter having to get it all off and sit there freezing…
Nikki - big bummer !! We’ll get you through it, don’t fret, out you come form that shed, that’s right…
Helen - you rest up and look after yourself, you have to put yourself first - will be with you in spirit tomorrow!! Mary x
Howdy girls!I am hobbling on my stick but I can drive!Went to saloon[aka pub]for chow last night and managed stairs so feeling good today.I am off up to the Northeast for a family party at the weekend so treated myself to floaty top to wear under my shawl.Nikki just keep telling yourself it will all be well in the end.Make the shed comfy and we’ll try to get some treats for you.
I was able to show kk a photo of the real Kiwi[horse]when she visited me,he is[was:(]all black hence the name.As for me-long divided skirt, grey wispy hair and specs-usually found on porch in rocking chair or in kitchen stirring pots.Love to all of you xxxx

Hey all, Nikki we will all be here to help you through this …have no fear of that.
Good luck for results tomorrow Helen, got everything crossed for you, well maybe not my legs after yesterdays escapade…
Re the Golden Girls,I remember them…Blanche,Rose,Bea(?) and then there was Bea’s mother who was about 2 foot nothing, was set in their appartment in Florida or somewhere that was equally exotic in the 80’s.
Ok ok I will be a dress wearer…as long as I get some nice tartan bows or lucky white heather sewn in to go with my Scotia alter egos birthright, got a curvy 50’s figure ,just dont make it too low or that bartenders eyes will pop out as I flash my dark brown eyes at him …har har .
So took the first tamoxifen tablet last night and am waiting to enter the hot hell of menopausal madness…ooooo errr, feel fine at the mo ,suppose it’s a bit early for it to have any effect,or maybe I will just sail through this bit…yeeeeehaaaaa !
Good call Nikki …a while away will do you a world of good!
Have a great weekend Val…can deffo recommend it!! Bet you look glam in your new top!!
Has your walk not straightened itself out yet Sandra? Thanks for crossing everything else! Yes there were 4 women in the Golden girls, I’d forgotten about the little person!
Hey Mary, did you wear a scarf gypsy fashion on your head…think that fashion has been back a few times. I’ll keep your’spirit’ right next to me when I go to chat with the nurse tomorrow. You can give her a good scare if she says the wrong thing!! hahalol :-0
i used to watch the golden girls! soooo funny!
i cant wear a dress! got legs like tree trunks!
might find meself some fancy chaps, PINK GINGHAM SHIRT and a nice waistcoat…
Nikki, I’m glad you’re getting away next week. It’ll do you good. Bad luck on more chemo, but there’s no need to take to the shed. Unless of course, there’s a sofa and some good reading material in there! You’re sounding much brighter today, I’m glad to see. I’m looking forward to seeing your painting too.
Val, what a relief to be driving again. You feel a bit stuck don’t you, when you have to rely on others to ferry you around. Have a great weekend.
I read somewhere recently that jumpsuits were making a comeback. Not in this house, they’re not! I remember having a bright blue one - eeek. And I remember the problems with pub loos too. You had to make sure you kept it all off the (sometimes wet) floor. Ugh. And the gypsy scarf - I’d forgotten about that. But I do remember clogs - I used to live and die in mine when I was about 18.
Well done, Sandra. I can just picture you in that dress.
Went to physio this afternoon and she didn’t know what cording was. Good start. But she’s going to do a bit of research and I’ve got to go back next week. Meanwhile, just keep stretching…
