Exploring Scottish Attitudes Towards Shared Decision-making

What is the project about? 

The study aims to examine attitudes towards shared decision-making on healthcare choices within the Scottish population. Shared decision-making is the conversation that happens between a patient and their healthcare professional to reach a healthcare choice together.

What are the criteria for taking part? 

Anyone who lives in Scotland, that has chronic pain & that has made a treatment/healthcare decision can take part. 

What do I need to do? 

If you are interested in taking part in this study contact the researcher at abbie.McGuire@uws.ac.uk for further information. For the study, you will be asked to take part in an 45-60 minute interview (carried out over Zoom) which aims to gather the views of individuals with chronic pain, and members of the Scottish general population, on shared decision-making.
