I have just had my drain out 2 days ago and it was a relief, but I know what you mean. I had more pain so still taking cocodamol for now.

My pain peaked after about 6 days after having my drain out, but its definitely easing now. Putting cold or warm on my chest really helped at the time.

Thank you. I tried a hot water bottle last night with a fluffy cover as it was hurting before I went to bed. Thanks for advice hope you have a speedy recovery too.

Op went well, really felt weak today so only walked to bathroom and back to bed. Not in much pain but when I get up it hurts. Feeling a bit emotional about it all today x

Amazing news you’re out the other side of your op! Don’t be worried about feeling emotional, that is a side effect of the anesthesia - you let those tears out! Your body has been through something big, and will be processing a lot physically and emotionally, so having a release when you need it, without judgement or shame, is going to help release chemicals that need to go.
Be very gentle with yourself, get your head into a few good series and the days will pass quicker than you think. Keep on top of your painkillers and rest as much as you can. You got this! Xx
