I’ve spoken to the team who are in charge of our support events, and they’re still finalising the programme of events for the next year (from April onwards). Once they’ve confirmed which events are going ahead and when, we’ll let you know.
We have also been talking about holding a live chat session for gene carriers as well, probably in May, so keep an eye out for info about that.
Here are some more details about the live chat session I mentioned in my last post:
We are running a pilot online chat session specially designed for people with a breast cancer gene who have an increased risk of developing breast cancer.
The session will be on 18 May, in the evening.
The session will be facilitated by one of our clinical nurse specialists who has a special interest in this topic, but one of the main aims will be for people to share their experiences in a safe and supportive environment.
This special session will be open to people who have been identified as carrying one of the known altered breast cancer genes (BRCA1, 2 or TP53), who have not had breast cancer.
If you are interested in joining the pilot Live Chat for gene carriers, please email us on <script type=“text/javascript”>eval(unescape(‘%64%6f%63%75%6d%65%6e%74%2e%77%72%69%74%65%28%27%3c%61%20%68%72%65%66%3d%22%6d%61%69%6c%74%6f%3a%66%61%6d%69%6c%79%68%69%73%74%6f%72%79%40%62%72%65%61%73%74%63%61%6e%63%65%72%63%61%72%65%2e%6f%72%67%2e%75%6b%22%3e%66%61%6d%69%6c%79%68%69%73%74%6f%72%79%40%62%72%65%61%73%74%63%61%6e%63%65%72%63%61%72%65%2e%6f%72%67%2e%75%6b%3c%2f%61%3e%27%29%3b’))</script>.
