Hi all , was told that after my chemo has finished i will be referred back to the breast care team can anyone advise approx how long do people wait for this appointment to happen , plus has anyone had surgery to tidy up mastectomy site or any recons ect while having herceptin injections . thanks in advance xx
I’m not sure if this is the same but I had surgery post chemo. I had my appointment with the breast care team after cycle 5 of chemo, I then had surgery 4 weeks after my 6th and final cycle of chemo. I had a WLE on my right and symmetry on my left in one procedure. I am also having Herceptin but this didn’t interfere with the surgery in any way.
