Good morning all, hope your weekends are going well. Another sunny day here.
Looking through your posts think this week is a big one for many of us. Thinking of you all. Had my first nightmare about results day last night.
Feenix I hope your recovery continues to be going well. When is your next appt?
KitKat and Sally I’m thinking of you for tomorrow- sending hugs to you both.
DaisyMoo - is your results day Tuesday? How are the knitted knockers?
Each day I’m doing a little better. Horrid drain now out and pain so so much better. After a week off work hubbie goes back tomorrow - little bit worried as can’t do much still. He has created a fab timetable for taking chn to school and pick up, friends and family helping make their dinners and even a rota for friends popping in over the week rather than all on 1 day!
Take care, big hugs
Good, luck tomorrow for results day and for anyone else on Tuesday.
I love my knitted knocker the nice thing about it is, it is flat and also as it is tied closed you can remove stuffing or add more if required. Not hot either so very pleased.
Fingers crossed for a great week xx
Good luck and everything crossed for those getting results this week. Xx take care
Ladies
good luck for you all getting your results this week, we are there beside you to support you

Morning.
Get my results of the latest bone and Ct scans today at lunchtime. I’m sort of expecting the worst because it was in 6/11 nodes. I’ve got a friend coming with me ( my husband really can’t cope with anything like this) so if necessary I can hit the pub after for a very rare drink. Hopefully they can do something about the wound that just isn’t healing at all…annoyingly it healed fine after the first surgery but after they opened up the scar for the second surgery 5 weeks later there’s about an inch or so where it’s really not knitting together and it’s constantly oozing.
Good luck this afternoon Trishy (lol my phone changed that to Trashy but I caught it in time)
Have a good day everyone
Sally

Hello everyone,
First, huge thoughts and hugs to Trishy and Sally for this afternoon’s appointments. Whatever the outcome, you have a team of people here willing and ready to listen, support, distract and who know exactly what you’re going through. These constant battles with uncertainty are so difficult for us all. My results D-day is Thursday afternoon and I am very anxious/worried, but also trying to stay in the moment and take it all one step at a time. Much easier to write, than to do!
To anyone reading who might be reading this thread and feeling apprehensive about surgery, I just wanted to say that, as a complete coward who was so frightened before I went in last week, it really hasn’t been anywhere near as bad as I feared. Compared to chemo which I had before my operation, it has been okay. I was discharged the day after the bilateral mx and node clearance and going for walks 3 days post-surgery. I went to the cinema at the weekend and have been managing with paracetamol only since day 4.
So, if you’re anticipating surgery, I hope that helps a bit. I drew huge strength and comfort from the women who went before me and shared their stories - this forum is a truly wonderful place.
Healing, loving vibes to all. xx
p.s. another vote for knitted knockers. I had a bilateral Mx with no reconstruction. I have found the comfies too big and too round for my liking, but the knitted knockers are much more forgiving, natural and comfortable. They are a wwonderful organisation who deserve all the love! xx
Hi, quickie from the pub.
Both scans clear, yay! Onwards to chemo and radiotherapy, but Cornwall beckons first. Redid my gaping wound, with a clear out of debris and put a stitch in. Hopefully that’ll heal better now.
Hi Sally, great news.
Enjoy Cornwall it’s a great place, says an unbiased Cornish women LOL, just remember when you have the cream tea it’s jam first. ?
Enjoy the pub, hope I and others have as good results.
Take care xx

Hi Anna
Hope youve had a chill weekend and feeling a little better each day.
I didnt realise your results are this week too… so lots of finger crossing all round.
I totally agree about the knitted knockers! They are amazing! And so are the ladies who make them up! My 2 (a cream one for evry day and a blue one for swimming) arrived in a really pretty pink bag and the tag was signed ‘with love Doreen x x x’… my daugther says shes imagines that the ladies are like the knitting nannies from the shreddies advert!
Take care x
Hey Everyone
See my post below about the knitted knockers…what an amazing charity… they provided extra wadding for both knockers in little pretty gauze bags and there was evrn a pack of loveheart sweets in there!
Hope you all enjy your evening x x x
Brilliant news for you sally. Enjoy your break in Cornwall good rest and build up strength for next bit. Had my appointment come through today 9th may so a bit longer than expected so waiting game again for a bit longer .
Have a good evening all.
Hi,
Thanks ladies. Cornwall isn’t for 4 weeks but I did tell the hospitals from day one I was booked and they’d have to work round me. We go every year to Hayle but missed it in 2006 as I’d just finished radiotherapy for my first lot of cancer and didn’t think it’d be doable. As it happened I was completely fine and could have gone but it was too late to book. Not made that mistake again!
Just reading about the knitted knockers and have ordered some for me…I especially need one for the water as I fling myself thru the waves like a flat chested Pamela Anderson in my red costume.
Great news, Sally. Let’s hope all waiting for results get good news. Don’t want to try to name everyone as I’ll probably miss someone out as my brain is struggling to retain what’s happening with everybody and you are all so very important and all deserve the very best outcomes.
I think I shocked the surgeon the other day, as I asked if I could see the cancer when it comes out. I really want to look it in the eye (and stick pins in it). She said she had never been asked that before. I’d be hanging over the shoulder of the pathologist if they’d let me! I want to see what’s been torturing my mind for the last few months. People with gallstone get to take them home in jars!! I want it in a jar so that I can watch it shrivel up and die!
My op’s on Sunday 29th. A week today Been for pre op assessment today. Last barrier before the boobies get restuffed and “It” is evicted. All a bit too real now and then joining you on the waiting game to find out what It is really made of. Had a chest xray today and am already worrying that something may be lurking. Hospital days seem to be cancer days when I whallow in the worry. Gym day tomorrow. May take to the punch bag to get rid of the frustration. xxx
Hello Fairydust, I made my surgeon smile when I asked for my ‘boob’ to be weighed as OH said I wasn’t aloud to use this as part of my weekly weigh in at home - any chance of weight loss I will take haha
Tomorrow will soon be here…
