Big hugs to all waiting results over next few days. Those recovering from surgery hoping each day is a little less sore than previous day.

The next stage is/will be ahead of us and the waiting game again but we are all moving on and sharing this journey.

Well results in and nothing in the nodes, yeh.
1 x 6mm grade 2 and 1 x 2.5mm possible 1-2 ( to small to accurately grade but not 3) plus the load of DCIS as
we knew.
Appointment being made to see the oncologist to see if I need radiotherapy or not ( due to the 2x areas on invasive and close to chest wall).
Tamoxifen for 5 years as ER+.
Ideally would prefer no treatment and to just get on and have reconstruction but he ho could have been worse, so another wait to see the oncologist.
Hope everyone else’s results went well and good luck to those tomorrow xx
Sounds like a good outcome Daisy. You must be pleased.
My first time they gave me just 3 weeks if precautionary radiotherapy which was easy to deal with.
Still my wound is leaking even after the surgeon cleaned it and our a couple of sutures in it. I’ve had to buy a load of swabs and surgical tape to try and stop it soaking my clothes constantly.
I am pleased Sally and realise we all have different things go ‘wrong’ with the ops we have, sorry you are still leaking hope that will heal very soon. Big hug x
Daisimoo good news today- thank you for posting- giving me a glimmer of hope that results on Friday may be better than I’m fearing. I know a way to go but a goid step forward for you. Have a good evening x
Great news Daisiemoo
Everything crossed for your results tomorrow Kitkat23

Good luck for later Kitkat!
Good luck kitkat. Will be thinking of you x
Hello everyone,
Daisy, so pleased for you that results day is over and you have a sense of next steps. I hope whatever treatment follows feels like the right thing to you and you can fly through that radiotherapy before moving on to the reconstruction stage.
Catherine, you are much in my thoughts today, especially when 3 pm comes round. Hang in there and know we are holding your hand. I am at 3 pm tomorrow and, like you yesterday, am a bundle of nervous energy and anxiety.
Sally, really sorry about your wound. Is it sore? I hope not. I am pretty swollen, especially on the side of the axillary clearance so am expecting the surgeon may want to do some draining (yuk) tomorrow. Results and needles - they really are spoiling me!
feenix and everyone recovering from surgery, I hope you are healing well and finding each day a little easier?
everyone who is still waiting for surgery, you can do this thing! I promise. Xx
Hi Anna. I to am pretty sore under the arm. Little bit of swelling and lumpy bumpy. This is 2 weeks post op. My bcn nurse took a look yesterday for me as was concerned more for the lumps than the pain/discomfort. All ok thankfully and to continue with the excercise and to stop touching it!! I have found standing under the shower and just letting the water (not to hot) bathe and soothe it. Trying not to take pain killers, are you taking any? My boob has healed fine although still very very tender and thinking this is all to do with the healing process? And this forum is amazing and helped me lots by reading and not always posting. Hope all goes well for you and everybody else. X
Hi,
Under the arm has healed nicely though three week after the second surgery it’s still numb and a bit swollen but not uncomfortable. The chest wound isn’t sore cos I’m still numb. When the surgeon cleaned the wound and added sutures the other day I only felt a bit of tugging. I’m sure it’s a problem because I was opened up on the scar from my first surgery 5 weeks later. It completely healed in about a week after the first surgery. Now it’s just a pain in the arse, well not the arse exactly, where I’m having to constantly change clothes and dressings.
Don’t know whether you’re back yet, Catherine. Hope you’re not, but instead, out celebrating good news. Thinking about you. Xxx
Fantastic news Catherine , I have a huge smile on my face whilst reading your update - I am so happy for you. And to be a Grandma for the 2nd time. I hope that you can now relax and enjoy some celebrating.
Annai thinking of you for tomorrow.
Let’s hope you and I can both finish off a positive week- I’m really beginning to get anxious about Fridays results - I have gone through all the worst outcomes in my head.
Have a lovely evening Catherine xx
Brilliant news kitkat so pleased for you. Congrats on your news of being a nana again. Great times ahead. Take care x
Bloody hell Kitkat. You made us,wait long enough!
Naughty, naughty!
Glad it’s good news and congratulations on being a nanny again.
Sally
Great news Kitkat, I have done a lot of reading on Tamoxifen and if the oncologist does agree with the surgeon I will go onto it and keep fingers crossed that the side effects are manageable.
I have my oncologist appointment on Monday mmorning so will see if radiotherapy is required or not.
Family history is part art of why I will do anything suggested:-
- my mums dad had lung cancer, mums mum ( my gran) died of breast cancer in her early 50’s and her niece (cousin)at 42( quick and aggressive)
- (not to mention my dad and his younger brother died of kidney cancer and his half brother of blood cancer)
The positive- her sister (my aunt) completed her chemo for ovarian cancer and is now ‘clear’ and a nephew has beaten what was thought to be terminal Lymphoma.
Let us know what you decide x
Annai good luck tomorrow
Hugs to allxx
