Surgery queries - immediate vs. delayed reconstruction

Hello, looking for some advice/suggestions.
I had my head all around having a bilateral mastectomy with delayed reconstruction as I was told I was likely to have radiotherapy.

At my appointment today I was told that I could have immediate reconstruction as I might not need radiotherapy.
Now I don’t know what to do.

Do I delay the reconstruction as initially planned?
Do I have immediate reconstruction? But if so will radiotherapy affect the appearance of reconstruction?
Would anyone else mind sharing their story?
I am so confused about what to do xx

Hi @peony2, I hope you’ve been able to find some clarity since you posted your note.

I found this booklet about reconstruction which may be helpful to you: Breast reconstruction (BCC7) | Breast Cancer Now

This page has some useful info too: Breast reconstruction | Breast Cancer Now
