Hi. I’m Jo. I’m 44 years old. Diagnosed with breast cancer on 5th January. Had the lump and one node removed yesterday. Await results next Thursday. Been told definitely radiotherapy but chemo will depend on results. I am feeling ok and not too sore. Everyone is amazed at how I am Getting. I asked my husband am i too relaxed about this. My first bisopy was 1.5 cm and grade 2. All new to us.
Hi Jo,
You feel what you feel & that’s just fine. You are right though, there is no reason not to be positive about this as most of us get through it & get back to life as usual afterwards.
Mine was 7mm, grade 2, had radiotherapy & now on tamoxifen, I did not need chemo & back to life as normal after completing treatment.
Loads of best wishes for Thursday, if you want to, let us know how you get on.

Thanks for the quick reply. I will keep.you posted once I have results. I stopped work after my diagnose (for a while anyway)as I had a very busy job which consumed most of my time. Being off for two weeks now I am realizing how much of my time and energy it did take up. Although I may get bored as I like being busy but sure will find something to do less stressful. My husband said yo relax and enjoy the time to recover. I am sure once I know My Treatment plan I could be more tired etc.
Hi there Jomulhol
i am glad to hear that you are recovering well it is vey encouraging.
i am due to have surgery next Thursday
finished all the scans , preop and seen Breast Care nurse today
I have stage 2 and having lumpectomy, sentinel node removal then Radiotherapy.
My biopsy showed 17mm so reasonably small
having to have a wire inserted to guide surgeon
I feel ok today but not really real it’s all very surreal and though it is happening to somebody else ??
Better for me to be distracted not at work as signed off after diagnosis as I am a therapist and the work is too intense and needs me to be 100% focused.
good luck with your recovery you should be very encouraged

Hi all. I was with my surgeon and BCN last week and I got the best news for the situation. Lump was 10mm removed and all margins clear. Two nodes removed but all clear there too. Waiting to start radiotherapy them onto tamoxifen for 5 years. So very similar to yourself ann-m. My inner arm and underarm are still numb and sore from the op but started physioast week. As once radiothe9is over hopefully back to normal and get back on my motorbike for the summer.
How lovely…best wishes and thank you for feeding back…it’s always nice to hear…as not everyone feeds back
lots of love,
Moijan
