Hi all,
I’m 48 and have had spontaneous nipple discharge for about 6 months. This started out clear but has turned bloody. The breast clinic have referred me for a biopsy in a couple of weeks. I’m obviously worried sick and they can’t see a lump on the mammogram but have said I have dense breast tissue. Any advice on what to expect would be welcome. Also silly question but do I need front fastening bra for after my op?
Thank you and sending much love to all you incredible women x
Welcome to the forum . I haven’t had this type of biopsy myself but just replying to say hello and hopefully someone with relevant experience will comment .You could maybe also ask about this in the Ask the Nurses section of the forum . I hope you get good news x
Hi Kelsey74
I had a biopsy a couple of days ago.
it did not hurt as the Doctor used anaesthetic.
My breast is now very bruised and a bit tender.
The breast care nurse recommended non-wired bras, so I have removed the wire from some of my bras.
I don’t think you need a front fastening bra.
The worst thing is waiting for the follow-up appointment, in one week.
I hope you get good news. X
