I’m due to have a surgical nipple reconstruction in a few weeks.
Can anyone who has had this done give any advice, tips or share their experiences?
I had my mastectomy earlier this year and a reconstruction and this part feels really important to me to move forward. I will be looking at a tattoo at a later stage.

Thanks for posting. After breast reconstruction many women want to complete this by having a nipple reconstruction to help them move forward.
If you haven’t already you may find it helpful to read our information about nipple reconstruction.
Hopefully you will get some responses from your post on the forum about other people’s experiences but you may also be interested in our range of free supportive services for anyone who has had a diagnosis of breast cancer. These include face to face and online courses and events.
In particular you may find our someone like me service helpful. Talking to someone who has had a similar procedure can often be helpful. Our Someone Like Me service can match you with a trained volunteer who’s had a similar procedure. You can be in touch with your volunteer by phone or email and they can share their personal experiences to answer your questions and offer support.
You can ring the Someone Like Me team on 0114 263 6490 or email them at someone.likeme@breastcancernow.org, so they can then match you to your volunteer.
