Suzzipad cold therapy gloves & socks

Hi! I am probably massively overthinking everything here but I was wondering if anyone who has used the Suzzipad cold therapy gloves and socks to try to avoid peripheral neuropathy could advise if they took spare cold packs and swapped them out? I can’t work out from the instructions how long they last for (mine only say don’t use for more than 30 minutes which I assume I ignore?!). My hospital don’t have anywhere to store them so I guess I’ll need to get some kind of freezer bag if I need to swap them out but I can’t tell!
Also - has anyone whose done this wore socks underneath as is detailed in the instructions or not?

Morning

I’m on TC (done 3/4) and using the suzi pads

For my first 2 cycles, I swapped my feet inserts with ice blocks and just took the hand ones off after about 40 min

Due to an allergic reaction, my Docetaxel is now over 2 hrs and for cycle 3 I pretty much did the same & no tingling so far (so swapped feet with ice blocks, stopped icing hands after 40 min)

I bring a small cooler with me to store all my stuff Inc the ice for my mouth (swirling icing during taxane helps with mouth sores)

I did give up the ice in the mouth cycle 3 with around 35 min left as 2 hrs is a long time to do it and I started feeling sick

My mouth sores weren’t bad as cycle 1 (I didn’t start icing my mouth until AFTER 15 min or so after the infusion started and the sores were like boils) Maybe it’s the start that is more important ? Not sure as hasn’t been as bad cycle 2 or 3

Good luck

Thanks so much for replying and sorry to hear about your allergic reaction. Did you wear socks with the feet ones? X

Yes cashmere thin ones

I didn’t bother with gloves
