Swelling, arm heaviness and tingling - no lumps

Hello, i poated recently symptoms of sweats, heaviness in left breast and fatigue. I seen the nurse and she felt no lumps so i felt reassured but she ordered bloods just to check.

My bloodwork showed my platelet count to be slightly raised and she said something about my red blood cells not being the normal shape, i wish id asked what this meant but i didnt.

My main symptoms were breast heaviness and tenderness and also in my armpit, it felt swollen. For the past week i have been having a heaviness in my left arm (feels like someone give me a dead arm) and tingly sensation in my fingers. I went back to the gp today and he done another examination he also confirmed he cant feel any lumps on the surface and said i have a fullness down the left side of left breast and he could tell i was tender under my arm, he said the new symptoms are concerning and has sent an urgent referral.

I suppose im just wondering if anyone has had thee kinds of symptoms and no lumps and if so do you mind sharing with me what your outcome was?

Thank you for reading

I have been having very similar symptoms for over two years now. My mammogram, ultrasound, and MRI were all negative and my GP felt no lumps in my armpit yet I still have pain and swelling in the armpit and in my arm and sometimes my hand. The breast on that side is tender as well. I’m not sure where to go next as I’m very uncomfortable. I’d be very interested to hear what you find out at your appointment. I sincerely hope you get answers that don’t include a cancer diagnosis. Please reply to this thread after you’ve been seen.

Thank you for yiu comment, i havent been seen yet and have been advised it will be a minimum of 6 weeks and thats under red flag referral, i have since found what i can only describe as a gristle type lump deep in my armpit… i will update again once ive been seen… its horrible being left without answers. When did you last have tests done?

Sorry for the late reply. My most recent test was an MRI the end of August, so about 4 months ago. I received a letter in the mail about a week or so after the test stating everything looked normal. However I’m still in pain and still have swelling. I reached out to an old friend who is a PA in women’s health and she suggested a general surgeon for a biopsy but what would they biopsy when the tests indicate nothing is there. My DIL is currently undergoing chemo for ovarian cancer and I’m not coping well at all with her illness and my undiagnosed symptoms. She’s so brave and I’m a petrified disaster. I’m pretty certain I could not agree to chemo. Just the thought terrifies me and causes me to have extreme panic attacks. I know I need to find out what’s wrong but I’m frozen in fear. I hope you get seen soon and that you get some answers.
