Hello eeveryone
I am now 4 weeks post lumpectomy and trying to pass the time waiting for my oncology appointment (2 more weeks!) in a positive way…so we’ve booked a couple of nights at a lovely hotel in Devon with the kids over half term next week. There is a lovely pool there, as well as sauna etc. I understand saunas etc aren’t necessarily recommended when lymph nodes have been removed, but can I swim yet? wound is healing well, not open at all, stil some internal pain in the breast and ribs and armpit so of course would take it easy (I was never a competitive kind of swimmer ;-).
Also, when I do my exercises recommended by BCC- my shoulder makes some awful crunching noises- anyone else had that- not painful though.

I went away for a weekend between Lumpectomy and full clearance so about 3 weeks after first op, BCN was happy for me to have a swim in hotel pool, it’s not like you’ll be swimming 50 lengths of an Olympic pool, She was also happy to write a letter to say I was ok to hav treatments if I wanted. Enjoy your break xx
Thanks Zuzy
