Swollen lymph glands

Swollen lymph glands My mum had a mastectomy in Sept 05. Has just had a check up and has been told she has swollen lymph glands. Will be having a ultrasound scan on 21.11.06.

Has anyone had the same experience and can give some advise.

They say the cancer she had is not spreadable so they dont think it could be that. She had some lymph nodes removed at the time of the surgery and was told that the cancer had not spread to them.

I would be very grateful for any replies.

I’m sorry I didn’t see this earlier. I hope by now your mum has the All clear.
In July 2006 I went through a week of hell, after my swollen lymph glands were biopsied. I’d had Mastectomy and DIEP reconstruction in Sept 2005, and as there was nothing in the biopsy, he thinks it was simply that my lymph glands were still reacting to the surgery (and the complications I had)
I do hope all goes well for your mum.
