Good morning All,
I’m currently struggling to think of anything else other than my upcoming appointment.
I’ve had a enlarged lymph node in my armpit for over a year, but it’s become bigger and more painful.
I did get this checked in October 2023 and they said under ultrasound was just an enlarged node.
However today I have pain in my shoulder blades, shoulders, arm (can only describe as bone pain/aching). I have a dark patch above my left areola, large veins across the left breast (not blue, skin coloured), and super tired all the time.
I have an appointment tomorrow at a one stop breast clinic and hoping to get some reassurance.
I have no family history of BC.
I’m beside myself waiting for this appointment.
I’ve read that having large lymph nodes can mean many things and therefore rarely a sign of BC.
Has anyone had similar symptoms and given good news?
Thank you in advance

Hi @coralgirl,
I’m so sorry you’re going through this, and it’s totally normal that the anxiety of these investigations becomes all encompassing. If you search though the ‘Have I got breast cancer’ section you will find a lot of instances where individuals have been given good news - of course the majority of users of our forum are those who have received a breast cancer diagnosis so do try and keep that in mind. However you are definitely right in thinking that there are many different reasons why you may have these symptoms.
You can find more information about what might happen at your appointment here What happens at a breast clinic appointment? | Breast Cancer Now

Hello. I was wondering what the outcome of your appointment was. I have some similar symptoms and I’ve had a mammogram and ultrasound which were both deemed normal but my symptoms have been present for over 18 months now so something abnormal is going on. If you don’t mind sharing I was wondering if you got any answers.
