Tall ladies & soft bra advice

Hello, I had a mastectomy 2 weeks ago I’m getting along quite nicely thank you with my softie. It will be awhile before I get my prosthetic because I have a beautiful seroma.

I’m looking for some advice to balance my boobs up. The soft-style front opening mastectomy bras I have don’t have strap adjusters. As I am tall, the material is always stretched for coverage. This means that my softie side rides up my flat side so my boobs appear uneven. Any suggestions to minimise/stop this would be welcomed.

I’m loathed to buy adjustable ones because my normal bras are full cup and will work perfectly with a prosthetic. Its too early to wear them yet. Oh the irony, I’ve not long spent a small fortune on new ones as I found my perfect fit, ‘don’t know I’m wearing it’ bra and I bought them in all colours and styles.

Thanks for your help.

Hello fellow tall lady,

I’m pleased to hear you are doing well after your surgery. I am 5 foot 11 and had a mastectomy in November but with full implant reconstruction at the same time. So I realise we are different situations but I thought the bra I have might help you too. It is from Theya (online). It’s made from bamboo so really soft and comfortable. It has little pockets on each cup to hold softies, etc. Its front fastening and has strap adjusting fasteners. It’s a bit like a crop top. It doesn’t ride up and is a really good fit for me. Although I did pay £50 for it. But I would highly recommend.

I hope you find something and you continue to recover well. I’m now 8 weeks post op and feel like I’ve recovered well too.

Take care x
